Pirate Skeleton NEEDS adjustment

Set is too powerful and the minor defile isn’t enough anymore with the amount healing currently in the game.

I’d suggest making it major defile. Or reduce the amount of protection from the set.

For reference, and ongoing tests still so not finalized:
"Engulfing Flames, Vampire Rank 4, Minor Vulnerability and Way of Martial Knowledge. These 4 stack in a additive way, for a total of 53% extra damage taken. But so for example against Mist form, Instead of being DMG*1.53*0.25=0.3825 its DMG*(1+(53-75)/100)=0.78."

For the case of pirate skeleton, if you were a nightblade with incap+minor vuln it would be:
    DMG*(1+(28-30)/100)=0.98.

    The old equation is:
    DMG*1.28*0.70=0.896

That .98 percent is then used in the calculation in a multiplicative way. So DMG * 0.98 * armor * block
To put in perspective, 0.98 is 2% mitigation under current thinking lol. The old way is roughly 11% left.

    Oh boy here we go.

You mean you don't like me stacking:

    Pirate Skeleton (Major Protection)
    Undo (Minor Protection)
    Merciless Resolve (15% mitigation)
    Buffer of Swift (10% mitigation)
    Reactive (35% conditional mitigation)

The set by itself is fine. It’s other things that need adjustments.

    NOPE.

If anything, this set needs buffs, not nerfs. It's way past time that they reverted the dumb nerf to mag sorcs that keep us from enjoying this set. They need to make it so it procs on ANY damage again, not just damage to health!

And why do we need TWO threads on this?

You can already rock it and have good uptime before your 28k health gets bursted inbetween spamming shields and streak.

This is really really inefficient tbh

    30%
    Then 5.4% from minor
    9.7 from Merc
    5.5% from swift
    17.15 from reactive

67.25% mitigation total from all those sources, not including the diminished returns of resistance.

    Just to put it in perspective, block with SnB or Frost staff does more mitigation; block with low resistance does this;

And from what I've read it gets worse in Elsweyr

It is. From what I am reading, it might be better to gather stats to boost heals. But everything in PVP is halfed, causing issues all across the board anyway.

We are starting to find the ceiling of the soft caps 2.0 system they put in place, IMHO>

Are you serious right now? Like.... seriously serious?

First I get called out for proc sets on my Stam sorc.

Then I get called out for for using sliver leash into my warden’s sub assault and spin to win.

Now people are calling out pirate skele, which has been helping my MagDk wreck some noobs.

    Man... you people.

To be fair that Warden combo is broken, sub assault needs changing.

Pirate Skele is fine, it does what it's supposed to but is in no way too strong. Been thinking about using it on my MagDK but struggling to find a build I like.

Silver leash is a legit complaint. People are abusing that buggy skill, ultimate tryhard meta chaser skill.

Yeah was a bit of a joke because I don't really agree with the OP. I'd never run both those 5 pieces together.

However, I will run Pirate Skeleton, Undo, and Merciless Resolve on my MagNB though.

Sub Assault and Silver Leash we’re both changed with Elsweyr.

They’re both still effective against people who don’t know what they’re doing.

This set must be changed or nerfed for sure. Immortal cancer-tanks who still can kill - well, i think it is one of the oldest ESO problems.

The silliest thing I did with it last patch was popping out of stealth (so attack from stealth stun wouldn't give CC immunity) Silver Leash someone on a horse pulling them to me into an Onslaught usually one shotting them. I wonder what that must have looked like considering lag. Considering the delicious salt I got and the threats of reporting I must have seemed very strange.

The silliest way I died to Silver Leash was getting Leashed off a bridge into my opponent casting Undo. That remains the silliest yet awesomest way I've died so far in PvP.

Console, get in your Silver Leashing fast :D!

I think we need to make minor and major vulnerability more accessible. It's currently too easy to get minor and major protection but not the opposite.

You cant slot a lighting staff? Can't roll incap? What about DK engulfing flames?
All of those counter major/minor protection to the point of subtraction before running multiplicative. Literally turns a 30 dmg reduction to 14% which is then calculated against the dmg. 15000 after 14% is 12900.

Charged glyph... secondary effect... infused or charged trait? On a destro with added passives? Very High uptime on the secondary effect.

But CP can reduce cost of block and increase the value of shields. So it's kind of both right?

Point is I don't see many immortal tanks in no-CP, which I play 99% of the time. If they are immortal, it's usually because of the healer attached to them.
