Little early for spoilers, but as we all know by know whenever someone in one zone mentions a different zone, regardless of how tangentially, that place is CONFIRMED for the next chapter immediately. So yeah, Greenshade! I wonder, what exciting new developments wait in the land of the Bosmer? And how will the new zone will compare to DLC so far? Time will tell, I guess!

    Not sure how they could do a chapter there since we pretty much have all of valenwood in game already. Maybe a dungeon dlc or something

    Nah I already did the AD questline last year with Summerset, now we're going to Greenshade to play through the Bosmer faction! Hype!!

    This is a direct result of ZOS dropping us office the Chapter and not the Starter Islands.

    Greenshade already exists in the game.
    Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

    I don't have the screenshot but Abnur Tharn clearly states he's going to Southern Elsweyr and that the dragon isn't fully dealt with after the last main quest

    I figured as much. But, I know quite a few folks, some who work with me in the RW who are new to the game, who have no idea that the original 16 zones even exist.
    Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

    Oh dang, the poor dears! I think that's probably just a natural consequence of being new to such a massive game. Even if ZOS didn't drop us off in the new DLC area, if you just bought the new game with the new chapter that's the content you'd want to play, and you'd likely be frustrated if you couldn't figure out how to skip all the other zones and get right to the new thing where all the players are.

    There still wasn't a focus on annual stories when Summerset was released. Now that hints could potentially spoil an entire year's worth of content, if we see clues they'll be the kind that make sense in retrospect rather than foreshadowing.

    that's true, but it also means foreshadowing has more potency since it's definitely linked by story. For example, when Raz said he wanted us to visit his home in Elsweyr, we had no idea he was speaking the actual course of events that literally would happen. Now though, when *MINOR ELSWEYR SPOILER* a main character in the main story for elsweyr says they need to visit Southern Elsweyr and continue working there, it seems a very direct hint that southern Elsweyr will be part of the future story. Whether that be the prequel quest for the next zone dlc, or even one of the two dungeons in the dungeon dlc.
