NoIf they understood the combat mechanics they would not change the mend wounds skill in the next patch which is working perfectly fine right now.0

Jokes aside I’m sure there is someone behind the scenes who influences decisions that is just way overthinking things. Instead of making small adjustments we’re seeing 25% here 35% there. When a small change could potentially make a huge difference we are seeing substantial changes to some stuff.
I understand the post. 200 ms change is going to affect stuff but cmon.

Yeah well I still think they don't understand it. For example I've being saying for months they have no clue on what to do with nbs, specially magblades, so I left my main for it. Now everyone sees that they just roll a roulet and add effects to the skills:

I'm happy I change my main. They can't understand that nb is not as good as other classes in tanking or healing, only in dps, so don't try to do a warden type by chunking all the skills.0 -

No idea if he is really behind the recent incap changes (the forums seem to think he is), but if so, it shows a very clear bias towards a class most of us know he favors. We all know he can play and we all know he understands how the game works from a mechanics standpoint.
Now maybe he had nothing to do with it, I of course have no idea. But if he did, it shows that knowledge of mechanics, and the ability to balance a healthy game, have little to do with one another.
My take is that of course they understand how mechanics work, they designed them afterall. I think where they suffer is that I am not sure many of them actually play the game all that much, at least not at a high level, so they seem to miss obvious things when they attempt balance changes. I mean, if you didnt realize that giving a low cost ult a 3 second silence instead of a stun didnt amount to a huge buff that would result in 20+page "WTF are you doing" forum response, you are pretty darn clueless.Edited by Oreyn_Bearclaw on May 8, 2019 7:46PM2 -

✭✭NoWhile I believe they think they know what they are doing, from a player perspective, I can't say I've experienced a single change that felt like an improvement. Until they understand that PVP changes should be separate from PVE, I'm not convinced that any of them have a clue. But what do I know? I'm just a paying customer.1 -

Most of the original team of developers left years ago, actually. Despite that, the team does know what they are doing. Most people are biased and refuse to try to understand some changes.
The latest incap change has tipped too far though. That said, it's really only the case if one is alone, and would be rather effective taking out a priority target in a group.0 -
