Nvidia Gefore Experience does not see ESO properly

Nvidia sees ESO only if the file is "eso.exe", while the original file is "eso64.exe" ( launcher does not recognize "eso.exe"). The problem has been noticed some time ago but it looks like nobody cares about this. Is it really so hard to patch such a thing?

It's up to Nvidia to correct any issues with GeForce Experience.

Why are you even using GeForce Experience? Why not just use the video card drivers?
I recommend you remove the GeForce Experience, you can find game settings tweak guides for just about any game now days. These guides will give you much better control over the graphic settings than the prepackaged settings from GeForce Experience.

    1. Not related to the topic
    2. Geforce Exp is kin to Nvidia drivers
    3. I am not using its "optimized settings"
    4. Most performance guides are poor - I have to test settings myself anyway if something is not working properly

You can install the Drivers only and not have install the Geforce Exp. With just the drivers you then adjust the settings as you seem fit. IMHO the Geforce Exp is junk,. Also it is not any game makers responsibility to make Geforce Exp function, it is Nvidia's responsibility.

Go to your game folder location: ...\ZenimaxOnline\The Elder Scrolls Online\game\client
Look for the "eso64" Application File.
Copy and Paste it in the same location, so you now have two (the original and the copy)
    Rename the copy "eso".
    Problem solved.

It's sad this issue has been around for a few years now. Back when ESO went 64bit, they changed the name of their main executable. Nvidia never updated their Geforce Experience to look for the new file name, despite players constantly reminding them on their own forums.

With this issue having been around a while, you could have very easily found the solution by searching before asking, either here or on Google.

Oh I had found it eariler - thats why I wrote "Nvidia sees ESO only if the file is "eso.exe". I have also made post at Nvidia forum after first reply on this topic.

I wonder if Nvidia has recently updated Geforce Experience, because it recognized ESO for me on Monday, although it's ref'd specifically as ESO Elsweyr, and I don't yet have Elsweyr.

I've only just tried Geforce Experience mainly because I tried to use it to optimize Fallout 76 during the free trial week. Although FO76 is still unplayable for me due to frequent stuttering, it did improve it noticeably from when I first tried it on Monday. So I figured I'd try it on ESO since I've had unexplainable FPS issues for quite a while, and although it's not perfect, again it did make a noticeable improvement for me in ESO.

I am curious about a couple things with Geforce Experience though. First, after you use it to optimize a game, do you have to run the game from within GE to experience the optimization, or does it actually affect the game by editing INI's, and you don't need to use it after that? Another related thing, after I optimized it, and have used it a couple days with improved FPS, I forgot and ran the game directly from the eso64.exe executable like I usually do, and I still experienced improved FPS, however when I looked at the video settings in-game, the settings were not the same as the ones that Geforce optimized to. I was trying to reconcile for myself if the the GE dashboard was needed for the optimization, or if it actually edited the various INI files. If any of you folks have any insight on how the Geforce Experience optimization is supposed to work, that'd be great. I'll also check on the Nvidia forum as well.
