Launcher doesn't close after starting the game

ESO Launcher doesn't close after starting the game. Please provide an option to close it after starting the game. Not only is a waste of PC resources, but it actually can create some issues with Steam integration because both Steam Overlay and Steam Input.

I've always wondered about this too. I can minimize my game and close the launcher just to get rid of an extra window and it doesn't get in the way unless I am multitasking, but it just seems odd.

This also causes some minor issues with the Steam Input overlay but can potentially create a lot more due to duplicate overlays.

Now, even when I manually close it, it won't. I have to go through task manager to close it. It's obnoxious has hell, every other game closes on it's own or gives you the option to do it.

After this latest patch I can no longer close the launcher manually and have to use the task manager as well. Even then it took a couple of tries to get the thing killed.

Same for me, started after Murkmire. It's only closeable via task manager. Also it stays in front when launching the game (so the game is behind the launcher).

A year has passed, still no way to make the launcher automatically close after the game starts.

I complained about this in beta. I always thought it wasn't high on fix list, apparently I was wrong. You would think by now we would have had a better launcher.

Just have to put up with it, it will never be updated to a better launcher.

On the upside the game has become a lot better.

I agree.
This has the look of Lazy Programmer's and sloppy design to me.
They seem to have embraced the attitude "Why put out a quality product when people will pay for a half assed one".
