It makes no sense for Maormer to be a playable race anyways. All the races in the game are from the continent itself.
Not to mention it would be hard to tie Maormer into the faction war...

They're just plain nasty. I can imagine (yeah, I really can) how much effort would have to go into making them "almost palatable" to play as a character class.
I'd rather that dev time went elsewhere.

But the Maormer aren't from AD lands. A future expansion could easily take us to the island kingdom of Pyandonea, far south of the Summerset.
The Maormer are said to practice a powerful form of snake magic, which would make for a very interesting Skill Line. They also have tamed sea serpents used as both battle companions and mounts. There's a massive amount of potential there, but finding a way of introducing them as new allies rather than their usual role of foes would take some creative storytelling.

I argued maormer shouldn't be here due to reasons before, but since we got necromancer simply because the player base demands it.....screw that XD
