a funny idea for ice-tanks.

I had a funny idea. Wouldn't it work nicely for tanking with an ice-staff if drain would apply a taunt ONLY when drain is done with an ice-staff? That could apply to any of the existing morphs. The taunt would run for the duration of the drain.
Tanking with an ice-staff is still a bit of a meme, but this would help both ice-tanks with tanking, and ice-dd's with not accidently taunting anyone:)
They could give Ancient Knowledge with ice-element a different effect.

The taunt would be an added effect to the drain when done by an ice-staff, it would not replace the magicka-drain effect.

or you can add it to elemental susceptibility with major fracture and cut the duration down to 15 seconds and then THERE YOU GO! it's a useful skill that tanks can use so that we can focus ice staff on becoming an actually decent weapon!

as it currently stands, the other morph is not useful at all unless you want to use it on a target dummy. even then get a friend to use elemental drain, or if you're wasting the time on slotting it, just use elemental drain anyway. it's free and although people argue that they don't need the sustain, why the *** wouldn't you take more sustain anyway? if you can drop some sustain for more damage you parse higher?!

to the point version:

don't give us more reason to use elemental drain over it's other shittier morph "elemental susceptibility". make BOTH morphs useful. and add the tanking effects that the ice staff needs to elemental susceptibility. susceptibility! it's in the name! make the enemy susceptible to your allies!

I really like the idea. So much that is comes to me why is this not already on live. You should advocate this as it makes perfect sense. Reduce armour plus taunt is what tanks needs. This plus ele drain gives it a edge over S&B. Nice one.

Leave elemental drain alone. it's fine. the "reapplied effect" on susceptibility is not worth taking, and if a taunt was given to susceptibility it would mean that tanks take susceptibility and healers/ solo DPS take elemental drain.

ive messed around with the idea of adding special effects to staves on elemental susceptibility before. ice was the only one that got a taunt. But this is ONLY on susceptibility we want to make this skill actually used in combat. elemental drain is already a really good skill

I do wonder if it's even possible to have both morphs active on the same enemy. It would suck if the tank has the enemy taunted with susceptibilty, and that taunt gets cancelled when a healer does elemental drain on that target.

say for example a reworked susceptibility (major breach, fracture and taunt, all 15 seconds)

was used and then someone used elemental drain ( major breach and minor magicka steal, both 24 seconds) specifically 1 second after, what you would see is:

Major Fracture: 14s
Taunt: 14s
Major Breach: 24s
Minor Magicka Steal: 24s

it refreshes the duration of the debuff if the new skill's debuff has a higher duration than the current time that it's on.
