Server Ping Bad From Canada?

Ever since I have played this game in 2014 the Ping from Canada has been terrible always over 100ms, currently, I'm getting 120ms ping to the server, almost as if It's from overseas. What's the deal here? Why such bad ping for Canadians? I don't have this problem with WOW or any other game for that matter just ESO.
