    The user goes to activate such attacks and you hear the sound, or see the animation, or just watch the ultimate number disappear but it doesn't register any damage, a miss, a dodge, etc. It essentially goes into the Twilight Zone.

    Dawny is one of those abilities that has a few boxes that must be ticked for it to work. If you search something like 'ESO missing dawnbreaker' a video investigating it comes up.

    However

    I have experienced what you are describing, literally my character yells like he always does using dawny, and I might see the animation or just the bright flash or sometimes nothing. But as a result, the ulti is consumed and no damage is dealt. It's a real issue on Xbox NA and as far as I know theres no response from devs.

    Happens with destro ulti too. Usually if I cast it and do a bar swap right after.

    I have more assassin wills disappear than actually shoot off these days. I guess it doesn't really matter since they're very easily dodged now.

    Yep alcast is right, its a server sided hit detection not client sided. Call of duty for example it client sided hit detection which is why there is damage hacks for it. I could explain it but its complex

    Are you saying that the hit detection is server side, and resource management is client side, and it's never synched? This is such an easy fix, just synchronize resources every 1-2 seconds, and people will be able to use their ultis.

    Happens very often to me on ps4. It usually happens when the target LoS just before the ultimate is suppose to hit. DB disappears, ultimate is consumed, no animation, no damage.

    This also happens when you are CC'd as you activate ultimate.

    I've noticed this too but didn't really think much of it, thought maybe it was just a ui bug but there are times when I was sure it should have hit but nothing happened

    I'm on ps4. Sometimes I get nothing from my ult. No animation, no sound, just the cost of casting works. Ult is warhorn
