    It will be unplayable in medium armor if the current PTS goes live. MagSorcs and Magblades continue to ruin this game. My girlfriend has quit playing, and I'm soon to follow.

    This HAS to be sarcasm! Surely?

    They’re the #1 and #2 hardest nerfed PvP classes in Murkmire.

    Magsorcs look like they have some good options to make it work but Magblades are in trouble tbh. Gankblades will be fine but BGblades kinda suck now.

    What was actually nerfed!? Damage shields have been buffed tremendously as they are now longer and factor in resistances.

    You seem to forget the part where they are capped at 50% max HP and can be crit now. Your tremendous buff is a considerable nerf.

    Those aren't nerfs though in pvp. At the very least the net effect of the increased duration and increased mitigation is a buff vs the laughably high 50% hp shield "nerf" and making them crittable.

    Even block mitigation is now factored into shields, which basically triples the shield strength with an ice staff equipped.

    In no way, shape or form is this a nerf. LOL

    Block mitigation is factored in after the Shield, though it costs resources even if the shield absorbs all damage. The increased mitigation is a buff only if you build for high resistances, in which case you’ll give up damage or sustain, or both. It’s a considerable nerf no matter how you try to twist it.

    the speed nerf is necessary because the game engine cannot handle high speed granting players an unfair advantage and far superior defense than anything else.

    I dont like the new evasion, but still the improved weapon damage buff and all the sneak bonuses make this a straight stamblade buff. medium was always more designed for sneaking and ganking while heavy was for people playing visible in the open. /shrug

    if all light armor sets were about magic damage and healing, all medium armor sets about melee damage (or sneaking) and all heavy sets about tanking and "hold your ground" they could simply remove those passives from the game.
    max level: mDK, stamBlade, stamSorc, magPlar, mDen, stamDen, magBlade, stamCro
    ESO+
    # of mules: 4 (FULL)
    maxed bank: FULL -_-
    Stop the grind! Get rid of stupid events and daily-quest gallore. Get rid of "have a chance of 1 in a million to get a piece of 1 in 30 to get a stupid motif or pet... wtf..."
    And at this point just remove all classes and have everyone choose their set of skills. then balance accordingly to skills always used vs. skills never used.

    In no CP the 50% max health cap won't be a big issue. So, how will the 'resistances but critable' change play out? Let's assume you will run 7 impen and your average opponent in no CP has a 40% crit chance with a 1.6 damage modifier. You would only need 7810 resistances in total after buffs, debuffs and penetration to even out the crits, which is ridiculously low. As long as you will have higher resistances, the shield changes will be a buff against a good amount of builds. Furthermore, shields will be stronger against almost all proc sets, since they can't crit but are affected by resistances, while they will be weaker against bleeds, since they can crit but ignore resistances. In the end, the shield changes are only a nerf when facing bleedbuilds or builds that put everything into crit and penetration. Otherwise it looks pretty much like a buff to me.

    Calculation:
    1 = (0.6 * 1 + 0.4 * (1.6 - 258 * 7 / 6800)) * (1 - x / 66200)
    --> x = 66200 - 66200 / (0.6 * 1 + 0.4 * (1.6 - 258 * 7 / 6800))
    --> x ~ 7810

    Edit: Even against a high crit build with 70% crit chance and a 1.8 damage modifier (which would be very high for no CP) you would 'only' need 18k resistances after buffs, debuffs and penetration to even it out. I know you wont reach this resistance level in light armor without investing into it (protective jewelry or a defensive set), but the number is still not that large.
