Did PvE sets like Vicious Ophidian, Quick Serpent and Dreugh King Slayer need the speed nerf?

Reduced the duration of the Major Expedition buff granted from some item sets to 8 seconds from 20 seconds. The affected item sets include:
- Dreugh King Slayer
- Quick Serpent
- Vicious Serpent
ZOS wants to nerf PvP speed, which is understandable. Then, they nerf three non-meta PvE sets which give Major Expedition after a kill, not even on demand. We are supposed to invest for speed, but they don't consider that we are already investing for speed with these sets, as there are better damage/sustain sets like Relenquen, Bone-Pirate.You will still be able to hit the 100% movement speed cap; however, it will now require more investment to hit and stay at it.
Even considering that maybe somewhere in the world, someone is using these sets for PvP, they are giving up a lot for a niche speed boost after a kill, as Minor Slayer is worthless in PvP and crit bonuses are subpar, due to crit resistance.

VO gives 5 different bonuses, even if minor slayer goes to waste you still get 4 bonuses so it's the same as any other set. Also fengrush who is a renowned pvper uses this with his stam sorc.
Weapon crit is still valuable in pvp because regardless of crit resistance, crits always do more dmg than non crits.
And again, you can just use these sets in pvp. Your whole argument is invalid.

Find me any decent PvPer, who considers VO OP in PvP. Something only warrants a nerf, if it is OP in any way. The nerf will just kill the niche builds. Just because everything can used in PvP doesnt mean that everything is effective in PvP.Edited by susmitds on October 2, 2018 9:13AM2 -

sekou_trayvond✭✭✭✭✭My stamplar uses dreugh king. While not why I use the set, as he is my main and I do lots of CL farming with him, it was always fun to kill a wasp or a welwa and speed along for another 20 secs to the next nodes.
Sigh.

The justification for nerf was to force people into tradeoffs between speed and damage, and people using VO in PvP already make such tradeoff. It's not a damage set, it's utility/sustain set, and bonuses it gives aren't shining in PvP. Tradeoff comes in the package.0 -

I find it funny that ppl act like these sets got a damage or sustain nerf it was literally a nerf to free speed uptime its not even taken away, The major expedition nerfs hit almost all skills except for the Alliance War one so really its an overall nerf to max expedition uptime game wide.0 -
