"ESO has stopped working"

Before you say, I have looked at the other threads detailing solutions to this problem, and none of them have worked. Lowering graphics settings, repairing the client, reinstalling, updating drivers, all didn't work. Reinstalling does work for a short time, however. I can launch the game once after reinstalling and play for as long as I want, however if I try launching again I hear the startup music for a second and then I run into "ESO has stopped working" yet again.

One common theme I noticed among sufferers of this problem are users of HP laptops. So I was wondering if any other HP laptop users have found a solution to the "ESO has stopped working" on launch issue.

If reinstalling temporarily resolves the crash, it could indicate something on your laptop is affecting the ESO install. Try rebooting into a selective startup and see if that stops ESO from crashing on the second launch. A selective startup can help determine if another program on your laptop is causing the issue. If that doesn't help, you can open a ticket with customer support for further assistance.
