Can ZOS make the promise to keep motif pages in blue (common)crate reward?

My main issue with this is that now all the costumes and hair in the blue tire crates is probably moved up to the 40 gem one.
And that tend to be the things I'm after in the crates.
For motifs i'm more after items I like more than complete sets.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

The sad bit is that now we have threads dealing with 'can we please stop here?'. I've only been around for half a year, but I can see where this is going. There's no stopping it because some people will buy into almost everything and as long as ZOS gets the money from them there is no need to stop anything.

We're the Frog being boiled alive in water, they slowly turned up the heat bit by bit and now here we are. Remember the outrage over the existence of crown exclusive motif books? Now we're getting gamble crate exclusive motif chapters.

We're not that frog. We'd noticed the heat going up before now, and we'd been grumbling louder and louder about it as time passed. [...] I'm thinking that ZOS believes that, since it's only cosmetics and not any pay-to-win items, we won't lump them in the same group as EA. ZOS is playing with fire, and I don't think they have a clue as to how little our anger over lootboxes has eased.

We are not that frog, and we have noticed that it is getting hotter. Many, including myself, are still in the "bargaining" phase where we think that, if we reason with ZOS, they will stop turning up the heat.
The question for many however is when does it get so hot you jump out?
I love everything ZOS do game design wise, it's just the store and marketing side which really riles me up. I honestly don't know when that will become too much for me to enjoy the gameplay any more.

I'll admit though all this fiasco with Summerset has sadly killed some of my hype for the expansion. Now it feels tainted by more things I hate and I can't just be excited for the great things we heard about before that.

The beauty of B2P bordering on F2P, without P2W, is that I don't actually have to spend any money at all to play this game.

Right now, I am paying for ESO Plus on one of my accounts, and ESO Plus seems to be the last and final product offered up by ZOS that has value for me.

From what I have seen of Summerset, there is less value there than with Morrowind. It is also cheaper than Morrowind, so they clearly understand that. Out of the gate, Jewelry Crafting is crippled to prevent people from consuming it too fast. If they change that, it stands the chance of impacting Blacksmithing. This all comes together to make the game have less value for me, whether or not I purchase Summerset.

I am on track to spend less money with ZOS, while not reducing my play time, this year. It all comes down to value. They are not adding enough of it where I spend my money. It seems to come up short.

Until they decide to make it painful to not participate in the Crown Store and Crown Crates, and I do believe that day is coming, the water is not yet too hot for me.
