As mostly do healers for hard content I don't need them, this might change with summerset.
Lots of times has been guild members asking for help

I give the dungeon a day or two's worth of a shot with randos and then if no luck, consider whether I REALLY need Domihaus or Zaan (not that i've tried to get Zaan yet... I have enough Grothdarr with Grothdarr.)

Yes, but since the alternative is paying for a couple dungeons that were only okay when I tried them during the ESO+ trial, I'm alright with the wait.

Ask my guildies to group up with me and do it, preferably on a day that it's on the pledge list so they get something out of it too. ^^

PC randoms are almost always worse, given the lack of coms. You won’t get anything done without a guild on PC. Or a saint’s dose of patience. I say this as an avid pugger who changed platforms himself.

Usually I've already been dragged through said dungeon by guildies looking for something. Otherwise just que and pray.

I perform a ritual sacrifice before the Night Mother. So far, only vFang Lair has been left unscathed.

I recently joined a guild that actually has an event for helm runs. It's how I've been learning Cradle of Shadows, and got a couple Velidreth helms I needed

I wanted to get Zaan for my mDK main but I have pretty much zero PVE contacts.

Vet Scalecaller came up as the pledge last week so I queued in dungeon finder thinking I was basically fooling myself but maybe I would least get a bit of look - much better for an eventual clear than watching videos.

The wait was only about 15 minutes and the group was great. I did tell them it was my first run and I honestly expected to get kicked at any second - but they were happy to explain mechanics.

Tbh, the first boss was a bit of a mess, but we nailed it and it was a pretty smooth run to the last boss.

A couple of shots with the last boss and the Zaan helm was mine.

I can't believe it had been that easy - but it does go to show you can get some extremely solid groups in dungeon finder.

Just maybe not every time lol.

dlc dungeons are entirely too difficult even on normal!!!

i dont expect a walk in the park like fungal grotto 1 because when ZOS makes a dungeon dlc they want to give players their money’s worth. if it ended up being 2 dungeons as hard as fungal grotto 1 i would be disappointed.
however, there is entirely too much of a gap between dlc and non-dlc dungeons.
normal mode should be for cruising, not for sweating.

i like the dlc dungeons. their design and boss fights are very well done. the issue is balancing the difficulty to cater to all the different types of players.
i propose no changes to veteran mode but normal mode needs some attention.

the best thing to do is remove them from the normal mode random queue.
i refuse to do daily random dungeons EVEN ON NORMAL because i might get a dlc dungeon.
i have completed each dlc dungeon on normal once on my main and the suffering was just too much.
i do feel “locked out” of a rewarding daily activity because the chance of getting ridiculously difficult content that is impossible for random groups to complete.
they are too hard for PUGs even on normal, and the dungeons themselves depend on communication and puzzles and mechanics to be successful.
they are essentially “mini trials” and should require premade groups to access dlc dungeons.

the other thing they should also do is bump down the dlc dungeons (normal mode only!) to be in line with the rest of the dungeons.
not everyone has a group to play with.
not everyone is in a guild.
not everyone feels comfortable on a mic talking to random people.
not everyone wants to sweat through hard content.
not everyone wants to be challenged and pushed to their limits.

the elitists will laugh at us filthy casuals i am sure.
it is easy for them to do that, because they have those things.
some of us dont because of reasons.
we all bought the game. some of us bought the dlc and/or subscribe to ESO+ and want to be able to play the content we paid for.

any player that falls into any of these areas is literally locked out of dlc dungeon completions. my proposed changes do not punish the elite players because they all have dedicated groups and guilds that already run all the content on veteran mode anyway, so these changes do not affect them.

make dlc dungeon normal mode accessable AND ABLE TO BE COMPLETED for everyone!

Dropped in on last boss .. got the helm . Blahshga.

Took like 10 min we only wiped once. One of thr dps died and went to get a drink came back to a rez and we finished
It was a hoot.
