This was asked, and, no, Housing Slots are not due an increase.

The reason was given as a Technical one, related to the consoles (and I am guessing lower end PC's). The exact reason was not revealed. I know the devs want to give more slots, they just can't.

To quote community ambassador and playtester Nestor, it seems inferior hardware is holding us back. In the case of console I think they should take one for the team and understand that they will probably have to wait till next gen for housing slots if when the tech that releases come closer to the power of pc that's necessary for new housing slots to be added. No offence to console players. As for lower end pcs, A solution is to give the message "This house exceeds the normal limit, are you sure you want to teleport there?" Would help alleviate that issue. Or simply stop releasing houses that are the size of palaces that are impossible to fill them and properly decorate them and not even a slight slot increase to help alleviate the problem.

I Will not take one for the "team" in concern of housing slots.

If pc players get them and Console do not It will Infuriate a huge amount of people. I can think of hundreds of housing players on console that spend Allloooooottttttt of money and Zos wont want to cut off that cashflow by giving the Pc community something we are desprate for.

I honestly have nothing against console players but I truly don't think PC players should be held back because of the platform not being ready, capable or whatever and I am sure that the console gamers would say the same thing if it was a PC platform that wasn't ready & they were being held back.

Don't punish one because of the other, no matter what the platform.

As for the lower end PC, I was one of those not too long ago and there are ways around stuff that make life bearable for the system.

Just my penny's worth for what it's worth...

Alternately, zos can sell housing slots and create another cash flow with housing slots being made to purchase. At the very least console players should be able to buy slots up to 800, which is the maximum you can currently have
