999+ Ping (PC N/A)

So, how is any of this fair? With AD and EP steam rolling with out any difficulty at all, I'm socked by latency issues with a big fat red 999+ ping making it IMPOSSIBLE to play, to move, to cast, to bar swap, to actually do anything but watch myself die.

Great! No really, I'm not frustrated at all. I love playing games I can't win.

PC/NA:

Don't feel bad. We're getting it on the AD side, too. And the infinite loadscreens upon rezzing at new keeps is ridiculous.

You really meant can't FINISH; not can't win.

correct. its not fair when lag like that, which is usually not the game servers issue but yours, only affects, DC?
its deliberate, really. you should file a complaint.

or you can do some diagnostics and maybe find the source of the issue and then lodge a complaint with someone who can actually do something about it.

Yeah I never had this happen before. I'm comparing my experiences to the past year and the year before that. I clearly remember getting load screens for various reason, but now it seems those are random and pop up out of no where. For no apparent reason, not even a keep flipping, just presents a load screen.

However things have been getting much worse, I remember a year ago when I was grouping with guilds we would have at least 40 , 50 or more people. My group and the enemies groups all balled up trying to kill one another and everything was fine. However now it's got really impossible to play. I'm also going to state a few months ago there was a lag issue that carried over into PvE. For example running trials. My team and a huge amount of monsters in one area caused lag but then I thought zos fixed it.

After that point I turned down all the graphics that make this game look nice to very low thinking if it doesn't have to render extra eye candy I would be fine, but then running into a DC group that's fighting the 2 other factions, I just don't get it why it "seems" that everyone else is running around fine meanwhile I'm getting 999+ ping and can't do anything but die from unknowns until I see the death recap.

If it is truly me then what's everyone else running for Mbps? And does it have anything to do with their Modem? I used to be wifi then I switched to direct Ethernet cable. I'm also now in the middle of checking my isp.

The lag and disconnections you are experiencing may be the result of some combat-related issues that have surfaced from the last patch. There are some fixes being added to the next incremental patch on PC that may help. We are going to close this thread as there is already an ongoing one here discussing this.
