Suspended? I play in the Imperial City ALL THE TIME! This is outrageous.

Just got a letter telling me my account was suspended. WHY? I have no idea how any exploits work and never have.

First of all, I'm already way over the CP cap, why would I need to cheat to get more XP? Second, I spend 99% of my time playing my main, which was leveled up to 50 years ago.

This is ridiculously unfair. Did ZOS even take into account the fact that there are some players that play exclusively in the Imperial City because that's the area they enjoy the most?

Also, why didn't ZOS simply close the Imperial City if there was a problem with XP gains? None of this makes any sense to me!

Assuming your way over the cap there is no gameplay advantage you could possibly get and I hope this gets sorted out. I mean unless you were deliberately trying to get a prettier cp number or leveling morphs you shouldn't be banned. At higher cps it's less noticeble the xp you get

You would have noticed getting 1.2M+ EXP from killing a couple of trash mobs. If you did and you did not leave IC.. you only have yourself to blame. By continuing to play, you opted to partake in the exploit and as such have been suspended.

woooooooow. I'm not going anywhere near the game when this piece of crap comes to consoles for a good week. I'm sure the xp issue will be resolved but I'm not trying to lose my entire hard drive because at this rate, I expect an xbox version of Chernobyl after console release.

@Emma_Overload It's incredibly unfortunate that you were caught up in this mess and I really hope (I'd like to say I'm sure, but with ZOS, who knows) you're down time is minimal.

Why would I have noticed any XP gains? I'm playing in a PvP zone... I'm concentrating on not getting ambushed and killed. Frankly, I have no idea what XP the IC mobs give and don't care.

I believe there is some type of rule stating you aren't allowed to talk about or share disciplinary issues with the community at large. Much like you aren't allowed to name shame.

I know this will get flamed but here goes. I have read people stating that they play on PC, have notifications turned off, have no idea of XP gains, are running ADDONS that turn off "on screen prompts", that are way over the CP cap, etc. I know it may be few and far between but it is possible that someone that has that scenario could have just been doing what they normally do and not be any the wiser. Just saying. If someone is CP 1005 and gained 30CP during this hour or so, does the world end? I am on PS4, took no part in the XP gain and don't have a dog in the fight, but sometimes people are simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Honestly if this is your first offense for exploiting you will probably be given leniency.

I'm a little skeptical you didn't notice the HUGE THREAD on the forums nor the RAPIDFIRE CP GAIN in-game.

I would recommend opening a ticket and making your case to Zenimax, instead of publically posting this.

Looks to me (based on the email text) like these suspensions are merely to put a "hold" on the accounts whilst they are further investigated.

OP, you really should delete this as it is likely to get you in trouble BUT do contact them and present your case. They'll have logs and be able to check all this (which is why they are giving themselves a couple weeks to do so).

True indeed. I got flagged in DAoC for "speed exploiting". I had no clue what they thought I was doing. Turns out my lousy 'Net connection would leave my character running, literally, across a zone at some high rate of speed.

They apologised, gave me some stuff and removed any "cautions" from my acct.

Honestly, I agree anyone over CP. Wouldn't notice. Even wrost technically this guy was just enjoying dlc content like normal. I would hope they just roll back next time for such cases.

Now realistically zos aren't villians maybe pm Gina or submit support ticket.

If you think you've got a reasonable explanation for gaining what ZOS considers a "large amount of exploited experience" by all means, contact ZOS and talk to them about it. Taking it to the forums is not going to help.

I mean for christ’s Sake, you JUST fixed your programming that allowed Miat’s PvP notifier. How long did YOU allow that exploit to continue!?

I am sorry to hear you are suspended for something you were not aware of . May I ask just one question , did you notice anything unusual while in IC , like fast champion points or did you have a Addon that disabled notifications ?

If it's an actually bad exploit. Sure. Duping, cheating, score exploits etc. If it is something potentially accidental and generally harmless to the game at large. Nah.

I agree that those sorts of things can explain the actions of the innocent, but by the same token they can also be put forward as false excuses by the guilty. Players are entitled to submit their own case, and developers are entitled to rely on the data logs in order to arrive at their own conclusions. We don't know the full story, and never do when a player posts his or her indignation and protests total innocence in cases like this, hence there's nothing to be gained by doing so other than a further disciplinary note on the account as such posts are against the forum rules. My advice is always to keep it private, and keep it polite.
