Will there be double XP during the event?

It starts December 13th, but when does it end?

Does it start the same date on consoles as PC/Mac? Any other details of which I should be aware?

The WitchesFestival started at the same time on consoles as PC so I can't imagine why New Life would be any different

I'd assume it would end on the 1st of January.

The New Life Festival glitched and happened for just me for a bit one night and not knowing wtf was going on I fell asleep without exploring it. I just kept asking around, "Why in hell are all the NPCs dressed up!?" but no one responded... which is why the next day I inferred only I could see it. Grabbed 2 screenshots, though:

That elf really does look a bit like an Xmas elf.

There have been NPCs in funny hats for weeks now in Davons Watch tavern down by the docks. They are all 'revelers' and they don't speak... just... carry on revelling

If I remember to grab a screeny when I'm doing my writs today I will edit it here.

Here they are.. there are quite a few actually, and noticed others in my rounds today as well, so I guess they are multiplying xD

I believe that I read one of the developers mentioning December 13th in a post somewhere here on the forums. I apologize for sounding like I knew with 100% certainty, but I am 95% sure that I read that. I'll look for the link and post it later if I find it.

While not having absolute reliability, the above link describes the New Life Festival as running from December 13th through January 1st on PC/Mac and on both consoles.

I do realize that could be inaccurate information, but I trust it because they've (the Wiki website moderators) been right about ESO event dates in the past.

Feel free to contradict me with any opposing evidence. I'm more concerned with truth than about being correct.

now that the event is over does anyone know if the lady is still out there for me to turn quest in or if she is only there during the event? I still have quest and just haven't wanted to abandon it just in case I can still complete it.

No you can't. Only some special holiday furnishes are availalble at NPCs in furniture spots where you can buy some items of each event anytime, provided you have unlocked the achievements required for these furnishes. You can keep the quest but it will take an unnecessary quest slot and possibly you wont be able to turn it in next year. Let's hope we have a new event next winter.

Nah, the quest giver is gone. My advice is to just abandon it.

You can't complete it now, unless you wait another whole year until the quest giver is put back in the game again. It's not worth it to hold onto it for that long, in my opinion.
