Is there a cap on impenetrable? Or am I able to stack beyond 50% to counter passives and CPs?

    There's no cap.

Some talk of cap at 3300 as that's 50% but you can go beyond it to cover the nightblades, Elfborn etc etc

    there is no cap.
The more the better.around 2000 is a good minimum number.
If you're a nightblade or magsorc Its kind of pointless tho.
Since you can avoid taking crits or damage completely as those two.
versus nightblades even 4k impen is not a waste.

Yes, there is no cap. You cant even get enough crit resist in the game to mitigate max crit hit damage so it doesn't really matter.

I now want to make something perfectly clear, THERE IS NO CRITICAL RESISTANCE HARD CAP! Ok? Ok! There isn't even enough critical resistance available to justify having it. Max resistance is 110% and highest possible critical damage modifier is 115

Is this still true is there really no cap?

While there is no hard cap, stacking crit resist to the highest level possible will result in useless stats versus some players. If you are running enough crit resist to give you -60% crit damage, but you are fighting a player who only does 150% damage on crits, you are not going to get any benefit from that extra 10% resist.

Also, the total mitigation you get from crit resist is drastically lower against players with a low crit chance.

With all that said, you need a good amount of crit resit in PvP to survive, but like many other things in the game, it eventually suffers from a form of diminishing returns.

So I been running new and some old sets for my Stam NB and started running the impenetrable set and just puttin that set on I could remove all points out of the critical CP tree and still have over 3600 critical resistance
