Why couples should be aware of playing online games

I can say this in all the online games i played pc and Xbox theirs been nothing but fights and issues you bring your partner into a game that you both agree to play together as a team to do quest and meet friends etc. But there is a time that that never works out i seen couples brake up fight use other account to make sure the other is not cheating or flirting .
I also seen fights go on this game where factions get way to involved with other peoples life and cause more trouble outside the game.Just tonight the woman i been with goes behind my back joins a guild and say basically *** off this is after i spent a lot of time and coin to help her through the game a few years back i play guild wars 2 i was attacked by another male player said that is my woman not yours she said you where only friends so yes this could be her doing it but she was influenced by guild members so i found out later on.
If your going to play any online game make sure you both come to agreement and work together as a team effort some couples start there own guilds together .
So point is be aware this maybe a game but it can cause major issues outside the game i seen a lot of heart brakes etc through online gaming so please take my advice be aware of it.
Another good reason i wont get involved in guilds this is a true fact way to much gossip and players trying to pry into others life passing numbers emails etc. And they have the habit ti be controlling when it comes to certain guilds players have complained they been ripped off kicked out and abused so again if u find a guild u like be aware who is in there and be careful who you socialize too.

Sounds like the game is merely the medium by which underlying issues surface.

My suggestion is that you build your relationship on mutual trust and the understanding that you and your significant other are higher priorities than the game you both play.

Couples who break up over video game issues would have broken up over something else if not the game. People that have insecurity and jealousy issues over in-game interactions are going to be insecure and jealous outside of the game as well. A relationship that is unstable irl will be unstable in game.

The game is not the problem in these situations, the relationship is.

Not sure that I really understand everything that was written.

I would say that if a couple have relationship issues only when when they play ESO together, they should stop playing ESO together. If they have issues doing or playing a lot of things together, than they should probably not be together.

My wife (we both hate the PC term partner) has no interest in gaming and that suits me fine. She will happily let me play to my hearts content, sometimes sitting down and watching and we have 2 TVs side by side in the living room (my idea) so I can game while she watches TV.

1: Someone who's good for you won't break up with you over stupid crap.

2: Giving someone a gift, whether it's your time or a physical gift, should never come with strings attached. If I buy a friend a video game, as soon as it's in her hands, it's hers. I have no say on what she does with it, because that's the nature of a gift.

3: Control yourself before you control others.

4: Never assume your relationship is more than what is explicitly said. If you like it, put a ring on it.

5: Your experience does not reflect the majority's. Reflect on yourself, rather than venting and berating people who have nothing to do with your issues.
