Is it really that expensive to upgrade to morrowind?

I am very confused, as the orginal price of my game was already 80 Euro's (Imperial Edition Digital).

How-ever just the morrowind upgrade is 40 Euro?

Shouldn't it be cheaper for ESO+ members and people who already paid a lot of money for the base game(If I want the CE(which I want) it's even more expansive and no ESO+ is included.

Imperial Edition 80 Euro(when I bought it)
+ Morrowind CE = 70 euro?

Something doesn't make sense here, why would I need to pay 2x for a expansion pack that has the same price as the base game I already bought.

?????

Oh, I just found out the normal upgrade is pretty cheap on most grey key websites. This makes it even more suspicious to me.

    40 bucks right?

    70 euro's is not 40 bucks(USD)
    70 Euro's is 83.62 $

So nowhere near 40 bucks, neither is the normal upgrade (40 euro which is almost 50 USD)

I don't think MMO expansion packs should be more than 20-30 euro max, because I already pay for a monthly subscription Oo

Gamesdeal.com has an upgrade morrowind purchase for $20. It is legit and you also get some goodies with the purchase.

Everything is cheap on greymarket sites because the publisher doesn't set that price. Fraudsters buy CD keys with stolen credit cards and then resell them for dirt cheap.

Sadly yes. As a sub I haven't bought Morrowind, I deserve it as part of ESO+. Never gonna pay one cent for it, a *** boring underpowered class and memegrounds aren't worth paying for extra. IC and Orsinium are 10x better DLCs.

It is $40 on steam... at least when on sale.. it is about $90 AUD in stores :s.
Well the base game cost $26ish and the 4 DLC pack, cost $25 when there was a crown sale.

It is a single large zone, warden which I guess it nice but I haven't even played a sorc yet and Battlegrounds which I can't play because my ping is 300-400.

I fail to see the point of this thread. The base game costs what it costs. Morrowind costs what it costs. You are not in a position to dictate how much ZOS charges for it. Either decide it's worth the price and pay it, or don't.

So what, you payed $X for the base game. Other people paid more, others paid less depending on when they bought it and what version they got.

So what, you pay for an ESO+ membership. Don't think it's worth it for what you get? Don't sub. I've never subbed, just not my thing. If ESO+ is already worth it to you without Morrowind bundled in, you can't legitimately complain about being a sub and not getting Morrowind bundled, as if that suddenly makes ESO+ worthless.

Do you have any concept of how much money it actually costs to create new content? Paying the salaries of everyone who works on this stuff is not cheap.

    @dpencil1 is right.

It costs what it costs. If you can get it at a discount, great! If you don't want it, don't buy it.

I am hoping that they drop the prices by about 25% next time, though. The on-sale price for the Morrowind upgrade seemed about right for a regular price. To me, that is.
