charity for the Irma hurricane is time to give

To all,

I’m reaching to the ESO community especially the developers to create some charity for the Irma hurricane category 5 that have affected the Caribbean islands. I live in the Caribbean Island and even when my island was not badly hurt we still are in recovery. But some other smaller islands were badly affected. I have friend that lost everything. Imagine that your house is gone, everything you have work for now has disappear the only thing left from your property is the floor. Some lost there lives.
This is the reason why I’m reaching to all so we as a community can make donation to the Red Cross or any entity that is helping people in these islands.
I can suggest that the developers offer a color coding or something special that can be sold on the Crown store and use that money for donation.

Dominican Republic Guadeloupe Haiti
Martinique Montserrat Puerto Rico

I strongly suggest that you donate to the Red Cross (or aid organization of your choice) directly instead of asking for a corporate fundraiser. That way the entirety of your donation goes to the aid organization and it's fully transparent that the org gets your donation.

(This isn't a slight on ZOS, you're good people, it's simply good practice for donors.)

And make sure you double-check any donation forms, there are already scammers pretending to be the Red Cross etc - just like after the Fort Mac fires, the earthquake in Haiti, etc.

There are people out there actively helping and preparing to help those in the path of these storms. This is a multi-national community centered around a video game, and anybody who would donate likely already has or plans to.

You're not changing minds here, find a legitimate organization dedicated to this cause, and pitch in there.

actually this is place to bump for support for red cross there are people who play ESO in those areas, as well as Texas, Mexico, and other places effected right now. Nothing wrong with giving a shout out to help out, I know for these forums people would rather *** and complain. But, there are real ESO players effected by this so in that since it is an ESO topic

No, this Forum really isnt the place. This place is dedicated to the game and nothing else. So dont be surprised or upset if an Admin comes and locks this for being off topic, no matter how genuine it is. Im positive there are plenty of Charities out there already on it and the people at ZOS do indeed have TVs so they know about the storm too. They dont need the ESO forum asking them to so something.

You might also want to consider the players affected by Irma (and other natural & unnatural disasters) who come to surf the forums or play the game so that they can forget about their situation for a few hours.

If you had had a list of legit places to donate, this could have been a worthwhile thread. But anyone who pays any attention already knows about this "impossible," record-breaking storm, and this forum is not the place to discuss irl news.

As previously mentioned, General ESO Discussion forum is by definition meant for discussion of The Elder Scrolls Online game. Discussions even of other TES games are typically closed down. While we have the utmost sympathy for the affects of the natural disasters occurring currently, discussions of real world events are what we consider to be off-topic to this forum.

We encourage any users who have an interest in donations to look into sites more appropriate to the cause. This includes researching your charities and considering ways in which you can offer your specialties or support. There is a lot of information out on this and many ways you can help those who are your fellow community members.

More appropriate to ESO, you may also want to consider in-game group events in the spirit of the cause as was done by this dedicated guild.
