Not playing until better DLCs

Have not played the last three months, but just read that the DLC for Q3 consists of just two new dungeons and a new Battleground map. Having finished almost the entire game I will prb wait playing ESO again until there are enough new DLCs to make the new content last more than a few weeks of gaming. If the new DLCs are as short as the Q3 release this year, I guess it will take 9 months before it's worth returning to the game.

Took a year pause from ESO in 2015 after the release of the IC dlc. Have already spent hundreds of dollars in the crown store, expecting that new high-quality DLCs would justify this "investment" in the game, but it's not worth it to buy things from the crown store when you can finish a new DLC in 1-2 weeks. Then you just have fancy mounts and gear but nothing new to explore.

Honestly, I dont know how people have finished everything, I play 3 -6 hours a day atm, and have been playing since launch, with a ( in total ) 8 month break, and still have not done nearly everything :/ On that note, I am in love with Morrowind, the last few dlcs were all awesome imo.
    the naked nord anyone?

    [snip]

I just wrote this thread to give some customer feedback to ESO. Many old-timers have already left the game or taken a pause. And many vets continue to play. It shows that people are different. Wish all the best to vets who are not yet bored of old content. Because the game is great, basically, so if you can still get some dopamine kicks from old maps, then that's very good of course. But not everybody is satisfied with old stuff and short DLCs.

Maybe you should get out and enjoy The Real Life a bit more...but who am I to say...

Then if you can finish the content in 1-2 eeks, you can simply pay an ESO + month for $17 and not having to spent hundreeds on crown store? You rent a new released movie and cost you about $6-8 for a single ngith, not to mention a movie at the theater and the pop-corn for a single use... i don't think having a month of ESO Plus to try out new content is worth freaking out :)

I have to agree with you, I play about 3 hours a night and maybe 10 hours over the weekend. I started in May and I haven't finished the Coldharbour quests yet. I decided to skip some of the side content in my alliance just to get to Molag Bal sooner. Then I'll go to back to some of the side quests I've missed and into the Cadwell silver and gold. Then there's Wrothgar, Craglorn and Morrowind. Then I have 2 other characters with different races and skills to do other DLC like DB and TG.

That's just PvE, I would like to get some exposure to PvE and AvA some day as well.

I don't see the big deal about putting ESO on-hold if you've done all you want for now. I've got other games waiting for me when I'm done with the majority of the content and waiting for the next DLC.

"Everything" is an opinion in a MMO.
I won't go fishing, I don't care about all the dungeon achievements, therefore I have finished "everything"...I care about.
I have not started an alt, and with all the time it takes to level everything from horse to crafting, i don't think i ever will.

I don't pay a sub so I personally don't think I will quit, but over the last few weeks my play time has definitely decreased.
Who knows it may disappear from my evening and weekend entertainment all together, but not even I know that till it happens.

Agree that DLC content has been a bit of a let down. I didn't buy it at full price i waited the couple of weeks it took for ESO to put crowns on sale. I always wait and will have to agree with another thread. Zos needs to get some bigger chapters and good story driven content out to remain valid in my realm of entertainment. Morrowind had some great story content, but i was done in 1-1/2 weeks. Worth the $40 I spent, close to not being. I want richer content with more diverse endings and cliffhangers to keep me coming back. Kill, kill kill quests get old real quick and dungeons are starting to get old already.

So, OP isn't into dungeons since two good dungeons were added in this past update.

Morrowind had a questing area near the size of wrothgar plus a new shiney trial, added battlegrounds and a new class.

The upcoming DLC will have another new shiney trial with a different format and a questing area about the size of TG or DB.

Really great additions to the game

If all that is not enough to keep your interest I suggest you get over it or move on. We really don't need to hear the details.

How long do people take to get through content? Orsinium took me over a month, and I still haven't gotten all the achievements. It seems people burn through content quickly, while others take their time.

But I would like to assume most people have other activities and responsibilities in between content releases as well.

    Greetings all,

As OP has not stated they are quitting, this thread will remain. Taking a break is perfectly acceptable. With that being said, as we have had to remove a page worth of non-constructive comments, as well as comments for baiting, as well as flaming, we have decided that this thread shall remain closed. While it is unfortunate that a fellow adventurer is taking a break, we do hope that you will return in the future.

Best of luck on your travels,
    -Greg-
