Making a new MELEE stambade - need gear suggestions.

Hello. I already have a stamble who is a lot of fun to play but a liiiiil bit squishy. So thought I'd make another one but with different gear. because I'm sucker for punishment. aaaaaand sick in the head

Anyway

So far I'm thinking a base of Impregnable Armour - DW and 3 jewellery. It is definitely going to have these because I'm lucky enough to have them already lol. But, becauuse I'm going to be purely melee, the crit resist is very very sexy. (Quick question, does impregnable trait add to crit resist of the set?)
But what other set should I use. At the moment, I'm leaning toward Clever Alchemist - 4 body and 2H on the back bar. Maybe running Divines and then Serpent mundus OR Thief.

Any other suggestions? Hundings? NMGz? Decisions, decisions.

For a straight up melee take a look at spriggins helps with all the heavy armor

First, use Impreg 5pc on both bars. The way you're setting it up now, you'll only have that on your dw bar.

I recommend using Viper on your dw bar. You can get an Impreg 2h and one Impreg armor piece + 4 Viper armor and a Viper 1h to achieve that. The Gamyne Bandu (spelling?) boss in Fungal 2 drops a sharpened Viper dagger.

You'll need to get sustain from a drink and some glyphs. Probably Serpent too. Hmmm.

I'll definitely switch to that. Both pieces of Selene are impenetrable and my crit resist is 3473. I'm running 2 divines and 3 well-fitted on the other armour pieces.

I'm also playing on Sotha Sil (non-CP) campaign.

Stam recovery is 873 - dreadful I know. Luckily I've a Master Alchemist crafter and at the moment I can supplement sustain with potions - but it's VERY expensive!

I'm running the Thief mundus but I think I'll switch to the Serpent as you suggest. Although I still think it might be quite meagre lol, although I love the bonuses from well-fitted and would like to keep them if possible.

Overall, I'm liking the way things are coming together, although obviously I need to keep doing some tweaking

Quick question does Major Savagery (from a potion) stack with Major Savagery from Camo Hunter? I'm running that on my DW bar - could remove it and use pots that give Maj Sav and put something else there instead?

Players' base crit damage modifier without CP is 50%, which is reduced fully by 3400 crit resistance. If you're playing in non CP, I recommend bringing one or two more well-fitted into your build in place of a couple impen, if you're able to. That way you won't run into anyone for whom you have too much crit resistance.

No, named buffs such as Major ____ won't stack from multiple sources.

5x seventh legion brute, 5x warriors fury, 2x bloodspawn, 2H Axe and dual wield with axes for PvP
5x huntings, 3x agility, 2x validreth, vMSA dual wield axes, vMSA bow for PvE
5x huntings, 5x trialgear with dual wield weapons, 2x Validreth and a bow later for PvE

Unfortunately I don't do any PvE so trials and vMSA gear isn't possible. I've actually promised myself to never EVER go near vMSA again lol. Very kind of you to make the suugestions though - many thanks mate!
