Last night I was farming for some particular pieces of Duroks Bane (don't ask, weird build) and while I now have the set, the belt and boots eluded me for quite some time, and even now they still aren't what I want trait wise. You have NO idea how hard it was for me to waste 4 purple tempers on making a blue Duroks TRAINING belt purple... It just goes against the grain to do that, it's not the tempers to waste, I've got heaps of those to burn through, it's principal. Total desperation on my part to test my build was the only reason I did it.
On the upside, I have however cornered the market in Hircines belts, picked up 8 in total just last night, at least 4 of them are prosperous and/or training. I'm going to drink a beer and smile while I decon that rubbish.
RNG gods hate me, I know this and that is my cross to bare. However there is a point to be made in my ramblings. We've all got stories to tell both good and bad in drops, we've all got that one friend that picks up a sharpened <INSERT SET PIECE HERE> 2 hander sword first time. It's the game and we know this, but at the crux of the problem is the TYPE of traits that drop on weapons and armour, this is what needs some change. Especially in big boy stuff where you need to put your big boy pants on to finish the content and all you get is Training or Prosperous. They should all be dropping the more favorable traits.
I totally understand that there are times you want a defending healing staff for a certain build, but things like training and prosperous, really?
IMO the training trait shouldn't be available on anything CP160, it should automatically not be available. And as far as Prosperous goes, it should only available as a trait on sets that can take advantage of that trait, set's that give you extra speed for harvesting nodes, farming etc. You get my point, I'm sure more thought it required on that, but for the greater good ZOS, Improve the drop rate of more desirable traits and decrease the drop rate of less desirable.
