Dueling on furniture "platforms" has issues and needs to be corrected!

At our Guild House we have created a Massive Dueling Arena above the lake that as a guild we are quite happy with and try to use frequently.

However, when Stuns or CC or something similar is used, the player attacking or player defending seems to glitch or phases through the floor(Wide Rough Planks) and falls to their death by fish & loses duel.

Is this something that is being looked at and hopefully corrected? or is there something I can do(possible different furniture piece for floor, etc) that would stop this from happening so that we an use the arena as intended.

* I know that dueling on normal surface would be the best option but we have spent alot of time building this arena and it would be a shame to put the money/time to waste*


Not sure if the ESO team will respond to these or not, just wanted to make aware.

    I've had this experience. In addition we've also run into an issue with some ground DoT effects when cast on platforms created from planks. They don't register the platform as a valid cast location. I've experienced this with wall of elements, volley and rearming trap.

    That is good to know as well. I have attempted to put "stone blocks" underneath the planks to see if the different item has any effect, have not tested yet though.

    They would have to figure out a way to dynamically move the ground plane up to where ever your platform is. The only way I know to do that is to do something like a custom Nav Mesh for each platform built, or some how create a navmesh that will seamlessly meld with another navmesh on a placeable object. This is difficult enough in an editor like for Skyrim or Fallout to add a Navmesh to something that is built in those editors, and they certainly don't offer a dynamically generated one.

    In other words, it's probably not even feasible in this game as they are not going to let you directly edit the world space.

    So, call it a non AoE platform and duel within those limitations and duel on the existing ground if you want AoE.

    Any word on this? i just started building an arena and in testing we had some issues come up with Arrow Barrage and Rearming on the wooden planks we used to make it.

    How many spectators in guild house wish to watch those endless fights? I always run away seeing 2 ppl trying to kill each other for several minutes. Any of the guilds I'm a member do not organise such events. Probably due to boredom.

    Anyway care to show us some screens of how the arena looks like, perfect would be when full of spectators? :)
