Crit for heals, more damage against the average stam user

Go for the spell damage if you struggle against shield users.

    11% crit imho.

    1) while sd is generally the "better" stat, 11% crit it's worth 3 set stats, whereas 174 sd is only 1.5 of those
    2) you already have extra crit damage (which will counteract enemy impen) from your passive so you make better use of it than other classes
    3) you also (self) heal where crit is certainly better
    4) if you ever heal others, the crit is MUCH better

that said, for raw expected damage per attack against someone in full impen (and even worse in impen + transmutation or against damage shields), the sd would be more damage. that's why sd is considered the "better" stat for pvp. but 11% vs 174 is a big difference in the total amount and thus I'd say crit, for sure.

PS: SInce your question only makes sense when you think of mundus stones (no two different sets give you so mcuh crit vs so little sd), the decision should be bewteen thief (best mundus compared to set stats), atro (decent compared to set stats and very useful) and ritual (best output if you only heal). apprentice is just a bad mundus (even though sd is a good stat, but the mundus gives too little of it) and nice stones that could fix weaknesses in your build, e.g. like stamina reg or whatever
