To Any Console Magsorcs, Is it Possible to Control Your Pet?

Title says it all. Is it possible to control your pet on console? Mine keeps running off and getting killed. I've heard controlling them is a thing on PC but have heard conflicting reports for console.

TARAFRAKA✭✭✭✭✭If you lose the pet you can go to your character sheet scroll down to active effects and unsummon the pet. Then resummon it on your skill bar. Thats all we got.1 -
Thiskers✭✭I have this same issue on controlling. A light attack will have him run in and attack that target. To unsummon, if he runs off, I just bar swap and he is gone. No pets on second bar.0
