Shock Glyph on Inferno Staff

Hi, currently learning my way through my Mag Sorc.

Set up I got is:
5 piece BSW,
3xIA,
2x Illambris,
Gold Maelstrom Inferno sharp back bar and
Gold random sharp inferno front (Lich).

i dont have a golded sharp lightning staff just now.

is it worthwhile to put on a shock glyph on my Lich inferno staff to help proc concussion more as I'm using fire wall of elements on back bar and BSW already buffs the chances of proccing the burning effect?

I will eventually craft a Sharp Lightning staff and gold it with shock glyph as the aoe from heavy attacks is beautiful, but in the meantime is this a good option for atleast single target.

    Short answer, no.

You're better off with weapon/ spell damage enchant from a DPS perspective.

You should at some point gold out a lightning staff tho - it's good to have both for different situations.

    Thank you @WarpigFunk

For single target like boss fights I should just stick with double inferno, with spell damage on my non VMA staff, and switch to lightning when on trash or encounters with many adds?

If it was charged, maybe... but it is pointles on a sharp staff

Sarcasm is something too serious to be taken lightly

I was born with the wrong sign
    In the wrong house
    With the wrong ascendancy
    I took the wrong road
That led to the wrong tendencies
I was in the wrong place at the wrong time
For the wrong reason and the wrong rhyme
On the wrong day of the wrong week
Used the wrong method with the wrong technique

If you play solo and in four man groups charged with shock glyph+75 thaumaturge+lightning blockade+spinner set will outperform any set that uses sharpened weapons. And in trial groups with bad support you'll contribute to everyone else :)

Cheers masel, I have read your posts on how charged works and seen your vids, very good.

Im keeping the set up I have currently for dungeon delving with sharp VMA inferno on back as I want to raid with this guy too, but my non set staff (as havent got an IA staff other than precise) is changeable. Would you think a charged inferno/lightning with shock would give a better outcome than a sharp inferno/lightning with either spell damage or shock glyph then.

Be careful with charged. You need a very, very specific build for charged to be better than sharpened. In 99.9% of cases, sharpened will be significantly better. And I can guarantee you that OP is not in the .1%.

I am CP600 and ye im deffo not the top 0.1 but I'd say I'm a decent player.
I'll stick with weapon damage for now and play around with stuff along the course.
