Question to Zenimax / Banning players

There are certain PS4 EU players that have been reported making personal remarks on other players Kids.

Basically disgusting remarks and this ain't first time either. Why do you condone this and those remarks can be classified as "***" type comments.

Sort these kind of players out of game permanently. These type people have no place in ESO community.

You can actually check the Thornblade general chat now since doubt they have quit quite yet.

Just permanently ban these individuals. Thank you.

Usually cursing doesn't get you perm banned, but stalking / threats would in all games. You can ignore them and move on

Talking about peoples. kids in rl etc should get permanent bans for the ESO,

There are very sick individuals and bet zenimax can check their chat logs from public server.

Some usual culprits and still wondering how are these players allowed to be in the game.

Don't know if they are still at it but most likely so. Got sick of reading that crap which has no place in this good game,

If you block themyou wont be able to see what they are writing. Always the best way :)

Ofcourse block them. However talking about sick stuff about other players kids should get your ESO account revoked permanently.

You can talk trash and all that but have some common sense.

This is not the first time these AD #spawned or whatever guild has pulled this stuff.

...and really that just sick references that I bet is reported by multiple players and also can be read from their server chat log in PS4 EU Thornblade / Ep general zone chat.

Personally followed long enough and blocked, reported.

Just get rid off these type of individuals from the game. Game is game but keep RL persons and players families out of it.

Personally like the game so that is even why I bothered to comment here.

If these players are left in the game can 100% guarantee that my ESO plus will not continue next month and will not be buying Morrowind dlc either.

Than again what I have seen from Zenimax personals they are good people so have faith that this type of behaviour is hardly condoned in the game.

Anyways... check the logs please and ban the players making these sick comments. I'am not making any names in this public forum just saying in general.

Enjoy your gaming and have fun!

Think your better off reporting to Sony

They will do something about it . You need to reply back to those automated robot emails to update the ticket if it continues and not start a new ticket . On Ps4 first offense often is 7 day ban and a mark on the account if ever done again for permanent ban .

Those players have ESO accounts and should have no place in the game.

Than again you also SONY would be good and bet some people did that as well.

'As said just posted here since they truly deserver their ESO accounts revoked.

Oh and that yellow guild seems to be #pawned some "interesting" individuals there it seems.

Hope Gina and other mods take notice and check this.

Off to bed though to get some sleep before work.

I almost wish this was a thing. A certain fairly well-known player [snip] pulled this crap a while back and got his whole guild involved. Started harassing/berating another player's personal life/parenting/kids, all because she beat him to emp. (tried to toe the naming/shaming line. please have mercy, mods)

That kind of crap has no place in ESO. I understand tensions get high and some people just like to trash talk but I really feel like there's a line that gets crossed all too often. Idk, just my opinion.

[edited for naming/shaming - if users can figure out the name it's all the same]

I tend to stay out of zone chat in thornblade tbh but I know what you mean, I ignore a vast percentage of chat and only chat to friends.

    Asking:

Why are you asking ZOS instead of Sony?
You're not describing an ESO concern, it's a player behavior socially so.....in my understanding....you and others would want to report the PSN account to Sony, not the ESO account to ZOS

Because these people have ESO account, remarks are made within the game and no doubt can be viewed by ZoS and most importantly as said this kind of behaviour has no place in ANY game or RL.

To report this behaviour to SONY as well is good idea as well and already said no doubt many did.

Now off.. forgot to turn this laptop off. Good night.

I can't believe you even asked this. If that is the case why not ask the maker of your TV for projecting the words.

Actually it's a breech of ZOS ToS and Sonys and depending where you live also a criminal offence.

OP: making a public post isn't the way to go about it, it will not achieve anything and will probably get the post locked.
My suggestion is to contact someone from ZOS via pm with the details, evidence and ticket number, also contact Sony with as much info as you can. If it affects you directly and is made against your kids and is a threat of harm maybe seek legal advice.

I know here in Australia it's considered a criminal offence and you can make a police complaint or speak to a lawyer that specialises in cyber crime. The latter can get expensive tho. As others have said the best approach is to just block them and move on and never reply or retaliate to them as it can be seen as instigating them to outsiders.

Sad how the answer most people and Zenimax usually use is essentially "ignore it and it will go away". While I do recognize free speech is important I also feel there is a point where it just does not have its place. You don't talk like this in court, in school, in church, walking down the street, in your families or friends house (hopefully). Perma ban? No, that won't work but a filter could boot someone out of the game for 20 minutes or so to give them some time to potentially be worthwhile to society IRL or at least make the online world more pleasant for a moment.

Depends on where you live. It's not easily enforced either. Where I live cyber bullying and harassment is a criminal offence but the cost for the victim to pursue is usually a lot more than they get in compensation and rarely results in anything more than a fine and a conviction. I'm pretty sure it's the laws of the victims country that applies not the offender. Then again the legal system here is way behind times and backwards and often years before anything happens.
