Update my house a bit: Fantasyhold (Mournoth Keep). Btw, it's still a WIP. I got like 40 spots left which will be used to add the 6 crafting stations, 2 dummies and expand the bar, entryway and garden.



I decided to use my magic to levitate a few big boulders above the left side of my courtyard, above the stairs. And I hung this nifty Bosmer hammock throne from the biggest one. You can sit there or even nap in it if you want: it's perfectly safe. You can hang a mammoth from those vines and it'll still be there at the end of the 5th Era.



For the main garden, I took my inspiration mostly from Alice in Wonderland: giant mushrooms, moving plants (Bloodthorn Vines and Deshaan flowers), floating crystal and upside-down boulders from which plants grow The biggest tree in my garden is a tropical banyan, which was a pain to plant. Normally it wouldn't grow in the climate of High Rock, which is why a few wyresses kindly made a standing stone that protects the tree (and the magic from it seems to attract my Nixad)



A better view of the tree, as well as the Mysterious Statue from the Thieves Guild. Don't worry, it's a replica I don't steal from my fellow thieves, especially no 10 ton statues



A Dragon Altar on top of the stairs, where I'll be placing my Target Skeletons... IF I HAD ONE!!!

(also a nod to Dragonspine Tryxus )



How high did you level your Acrobatics skill? There is a way to get to that shiny Skyshard... you figure it out



This is the entrance, where I placed this massive Imperial Basin. On the wall you can see the Shield of the Covenant and a few lovely paintings from Cyrodiil...

Still feels a bit empty: might be placing 2 of those yellow Veiled Crystal underneath the painting and have a few more Dreamshards floating around. What do you guys think of that?



My Throne Room/Treasure Vault

Oh yeah, that coffin? Perfect sleeping place. Nothing more satisfying than jumpscaring thieves as they try to steal from me



The bar/kitchen and parlour. This section needs updating though: while the parlour looks good, the kitchen needs to look more lively. I'm also planning on placing crafting stations (Enchanting and Alchemy) in the empty corner on the right of the picture




Upstairs area, where I keep my library and study as well as my bedroom. I consider this area mostly finished, tho I might hang 1 or 2 paintings here still

well... here goes nothing I will still be modifying things, adding stuff, removing, etc as I get acess to more patterns/farm up more mats, but overall - its pretty much done and livable. one of the things I wanted to do is use only in game means to decorate my house. so no crowns were used to buy anything, and all of the furnishings either were crafted by me, bought from various vendors or came with the house itself (though I have re-purposed couple of lanterns and a candle from Cyrillic jungle house and one of the inn rooms)

View to the right of the courtyard entrance, the stone pass leads to the wood chopping area you can just see in the back.


View to the left of the entrance - another path leads to the well. gotta have that water for cooking and washing up. sure there is a pond just outside, but there are crocodiles hanging out there, and its just all around more convenient to have a well

living/dining room. my nightblade lives alone, so she doesn't need much more than a small table, but she does occasionally have a friend over, so they have some cozy chairs in front of the fireplace with some smuggled wine and fruit to enjoy (she is not a very good bosmer, green pact, what green pact - the fruit is too delicious for green pact) puppy lives in front of the fire, as inspired by my own dog, who has multiple dog beds, but when its not our own, its her pillow by the fireplace.


a sort of overview of the upstairs area with some storage under the stairs. filling that bookcase took almost as much time as designing the rest of the house, holy mother of frustrating. Shalidor's library needs a LOT of adjusting when it comes to decorating options.


kitchen - currently making some fish stew (nice thing about living by the pond is fresh fish is only few steps and a murdered crocodile away )


wash/laundry room hiding under the stairs behind a small privacy screen


and last but not least - upstairs. bedroom/home office area. maybe designing and brewing poisons and potions so close to the bed is not the best of ideas, but.. so far its been working out ok.


so there's my humble house so far. next up, I'm going to decorate Cyrodilic jungle house where my sorceress lives (she is usually the friend that comes visiting most often). going to take... a while, since still not using crowns and trying to save up gold for other houses/achievement furnishings that I want. which means... farming. so.... much... farming....

P.S. I wanted to do a sort of walking tour on video, but I can't get the shadowplay to work so does anyone by any chance has suggestions for decent, easy for a noob to use, free screen capture software?

Fraps works well enough, i also have had some trouble with ShadowPlay and ESO btw ...

doesn't free version restrict you to 30 seconds of video at a time, though? at least it used to. (I know I could just buy fraps, but unless I get into making videos consistently, it just doesn't seem worth it)

this is so cool! i love the gallery feel of it. and the way the paintings are lit up but the rest of the room is sort of dark. very nice (i prob'ly like it so much because i can't get a single dang painting for the life of me! i've about given up and just admire everyone elses :P )

Sprial staircase WITH books ^^ around a skyshard , i added 2 news screenshots . i close the Imperial stairs with Black soul gems ( 5 th picture ) to oblige people to take this new staircase .
