Zenimax isn't the same as 'Zenimax Online Studios'
So just because Zenimax gets more money doesn't mean ZOS will receive any. However I guess it is possible.

Yeah it is.
Granted, there's an overarching set of companies all controlled by the same entity which I will not bore you with. But in this case they're the same thing.
Also, I'm surprised FB is bothering to appeal it. The amount of money is like 5 seconds of advertising revenue for them.

Actually it isn't. Zenimax Media, the entity in the lawsuit, is the parent company of Zenimax Online Studios. Money for Zenimax Media doesn't necessarily translate to money for ZOS. Just like the money made by the parent company for whom I work doesn't mean the subsidiary I work for is fine. We do not get our budget from the parent company, but from our own.
I think this ruling is both good, and bad. It's good because it means justice, assuming the assertions made by Zenimax are true, and it's bad because it could have a significant negative impact on the VR market. I can't personally do VR because of motion sickness issues, but I never like to see things fail in the video game market.
Umm guys,
Money from parent company like Zenimax Media will NOT trickle down to its subsidiaries. It is separate books. People from business knows that.
This doesn't affect ZOS and to an extent ESO at all.

Actually, it is. In fact it was emphasized to me, in person, repeatedly how they won't let ESO fail at launch due to the sheer amount of money they have committed to keep it going til it works, and how they are the same thing, regardless of various subsets using different names. I rather got sick of hearing it, actually.

I knew they would win.....it's chump change considering the 4 billion asking. Zen should get a part of Rift profits.....the good news is now maybe Zen will start working on VR integration for more of it's games I play ESO in VR with some avalible software and addons and it's awesome.
