Struggling with Dark Brotherhood Quest - Contract: Glenumbra

Hello, all. I hope I've put this in the right place...
I've been trying to complete this Dark Brotherhood quest for quite some time now. I'm supposed to assassinate some chap called Vancecarion, and I just can't seem to find him. I've been wandering around the Glenumbra marketplace like a prize plum for aaaaaaages. I'm looking for the little black hand indicating my target and I really don't see it. I've gone up to each of the NPCs there at least a dozen times just to check. Has anybody else had the same problem? Am I just really blind? Or is this bugged for me?

dead3nemySoul ShrivenI had the same problem with Vallaradan in elden root. My problem was someone else kept killing him before I could get to him so I ran around for like an hour trying to find him. I eventually logged off and came back online laterm in the day.0
