And note sometimes you check here and they got fixed without any need for downtime or the need to download.

ZOS won't update while the XBox status remains unchanged. <--- He says while Gina is posting

Once ZOS can do what they need to do, they will start, and who knows how long that will take. The outage at XBOX looks like it happened before ZOS maintenance began. ZOS should update us when they resume work, but they probably won't since it is a weekend and the CM staff is at home.

The next update will probably be either "opening soon" or "just opened/Complete", and it might just be a change in the maintenance status.

As for getting your head around what was so important, it sounds to me like taking down the servers on a Saturday morning is not the "worst case scenario". Likely, the worse scenario would have been if they didn't. Hard to say without knowing what was wrong, but the fact that it was across all Megaservers indicates a software problem somewhere.

Why take the servers down on a Saturday to begin with? It's the busiest day of the week to play. At least tell us what was so important to justify taking the servers offline then perhaps the Xbox community wouldn't be so peeved! If it was to fix a major exploit or glitch then we would completely understand but to keep us in the dark is what's angering us.

Speaking of which... is ZoS ever going to state what was soooo important that you had to take the servers down on the weekend? I really really hope it was not because some people were getting extra VMA weapons.

Clearly, there must have been an issue with a beard or hairstyle where grays were starting to show. This required the immediate hotfix 'cuz who wants to play with an aging DK or Orc? Lol.

Also don't patch again on a Saturday unless it's critical. XBL is stupidly unreliable and you walked right into this trying to patch at the most prime time they have. We didn't need what is an unjustified last minute outage.

This made me laugh Xbox live is one of is the most reliable out there sure it has it bad moments every blue moon but over the years Xbox live has been more reliable than any other service

Fix the patch notes above, this maintenence did not start at 4am EST it started at around 2am when I was given the message the servers would be taken offline for maintenance in 15 minutes. I went to sleep and now it's noon. 10 hours. WTF. STOP SHUTTING DOWN THE F!@%$&amp;^ HIGHWAY DURING RUSH HOUR! (Metaphorically speaking to all the ZoS butt kissers who don't understand) Any way I look at this just screams poor judgement, leave maintenance for weekdays, NOT the first day of the freaking weekend!
