Getting the weapon you want with 1T?

Didn't know where else to put this, and yes it's a complaint thread.

I've spent the last week and 1/2 trying to get a sharpened lightning staff for the spinner set. Finally last night I got a fire version. This does not work for my build, but I may have to suffer with it for awhile. I've done the dolmen/public dungeon/delve/overland boss farming during this time. Even took a night to search for treasure chests to loot in the area. Why is this such a stupidly hard item to get? I know it exists because I've seen sharpened versions of all 3 flavors on the player brokers. This means with some luck and diligence I should be able to get one myself instead of paying someone 300k+ gold for it. To me it's more of an accomplishment that I worked for. But at some point after let's say 50+ hours of farming? I should have a few of these. People (including me) can only have so much patience =(

I also ask those reading, if this seems to be the case with weapons in other areas for the more popular sets people are trying to get atm.

I'm not complaining as it's keeping me out of the mess that is PvP atm.

I get good drops, I don't seem to get the money for them though. I put them at half of what other people list them for and they still don't sell. Just hang on, don't pay the ridiculous prices and you'll get one eventually. I saw one for 20k once, no way am I paying that much for something you can find anywhere in zone, ever.
