Rosario Lightbringer is an unusually tall high elf. She actually has giant's blood (from her mother's side), but denies it due to her racist upbringing. She spends her days healing in the dungeons of Tamriel, but not because she is kind. She heals because it makes her feel important.

I did, actually, and it's still a work in progress. I started my character's backstory several months before the game launched, and have several chapters on his life and events leading up to ESO. His backstory "ends" where ESO "begins" as a slave in Coldharbour. A real nerd, this one.

I always make up extra backstory for my characters, but some are still a bit vague so here's the 3 I've fleshed out.

    Danielle Aurorel. Breton templar.

She's from a minor Glenumbra noble house, merchants by trade and her family was very sure she would follow on in the family business and/or find a nice man and settle down. Which is strange because she was never the settled type. She was always the kid her mother had to call home after it got dark and usually the one arriving with new bumps and scrapes and torn clothing from wherever she had been off exploring that day. It was amazing she never got herself killed (sooner).

Eventually her parents recognised this and decided she had better learn to defend herself. They encouraged her to study magic because at least that was a respectable profession, and she did enjoy it. She enjoyed practicing with her daggers with some of the kids from less respectable neighbourhoods too. When she came of age she firmly refused plans to marry her off and changed her last name (to avoid embarrassing her family) and went off travelling.

She will never admit to them that it wasn't long before she did get herself killed. She won't admit even to herself that it may actually have been the best thing that happened to her because she finally found the purpose she had been looking for and has been devoted to stopping the Worm Cult (with occasional distractions) ever since.

    Danika Aurorel. Khajiit templar.

She was born in the jungles of southern Elsyweyr and her upbringing was fairly typical for the region. She doesn't talk about her family much except to say they were good people. The fact that she always says that in past tense may say a lot more than her actual words. For reasons which are almost equally unclear (and possibly related) she does not like the Altmer, apparently considering them extremely dishonest and unreliable, and left Elsyweyr shortly ahead of their arrival. She travelled through Cyrodiil but finding nothing but war she carried on north, through Hammerfell and into Highrock, until there was nowhere further north to go.

Which is where she met Danielle. The two were amused by their similar names and Danika adopted her last name as a show of solidarity and to fit in with her adopted homeland. ((When I played the same character in Skyrim she became a werewolf to fit in so a name change isn't all that drastic.)) They parted ways after a while but wound up meeting the same fate anyway.

Curiously Danika is less concerned about her murder (she usually says she "got over it") although she is concerned about Molag Bal and his plans for Nirn. But she's equally inclined to fight the Dominion and on occasion the Pact, having discovered Highrock is not simply the place she stopped travelling but a land and a people she can live with.

    Sagittam Ad Genu. Imperial Dragonknight.

Unlike my girls he's an old hand at all this. He was a soldier for years before the Three Banners War broke out and had at one time or another visited every province in Tamriel. Shortly after the war broke out he finally took an injury that ended his time as a soldier and he retired to Auridon to take up crafting.

Somewhat embarrassingly for an experienced soldier he was captured one night on the way home from the pub after a night of unusually heavy drinking. Even worse his captors proved to be the Worm Cult and instead of simply robbing him they murdered him in some kind of freak ceremony.

Well, he might be retired but he is not the kind of man who would take an insult like that lying down and has decided to make an exception to personally take revenge on every single one of the ***** necromancers he can find and their ****** master. He's not quite sure you can kill a daedric prince but he's going to give it a damned good try, with a sword he made with his own two hands.

I've posted this elsewhere but I'll give a quick sum up of my character's backstory:

Nimander Naal was bon into House Hlaalu thirty years before the fall of Emperor Varin, thereby giving rise to the time of turmoil and the three faction war. On path to becoming an Ordinator of the Most Holy Tribunal, Nimander witnessed the necessity of the freeing of the lesser slaves (Argonian and Khajit). He found this to be reprehensible and against the core Doctrine of the Three and fled his training of the Order (Ordinators).

Hearing of a Great Elven Alliance in Summerset he left his family, lands, and titles behind to see if this new Queen Ayrenn was worth following in her quest for Dominion. Believing in his heart that the resurrection of Old Ehlnofey was of the truest path for any of the Mer races to aspire towards he felt his honor dictated support in such a revival.

Upon arrival he discovered that once again necessity had dictated the inclusion of the beast race Khajit... Stomaching the perceived insult he chose to follow Ayrenn in her path towards Dominion.

In a brash plan to assault Imperial City when it appeared unguarded Nimander volunteered to aid in the siege and remove the Death Cult of Mannimarco and maybe kill Mannimarco himself. Captured outside the White Gold Tower, Nimander was killed in a sacrificial ritual to Molag Bal.

Waking in Coldharbour his true adventure begins...

Yes, but I have 10 character and I don't have the time to write it down here D:

I should make a page with them all or something like that one day.
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

I wrote up a short little backstory regarding my main toon and the formation of my guild a while back, just going to copy-paste it from my guild's work-in-progress forums. :p

A Brief Report on Fenoreth, and the Beginnings of the Red Company

Born a few dozen years before the events of the Planemeld transpired, Fenoreth was the son of two prominent nobles of the Dominion. Raised in a secluded environment, Fen grew up to become a scholar on the subject of tea. After a dreadful night that saw both of his parents assassinated by political opponents, Fenoreth was forced to abandon his noble title and fled to the forests of Grahtwood. There, he collected information regarding Bosmer herbalism, while slowly accumulating a sizable collection of exotic tea leaves.

A few years later, Fen decided to return to his home island of Auridon, where he set up a shop at the Skywatch Market. He enjoyed a decent and fair income there as a tea merchant, yet citizens scorned him at times for his easily-distracted nature. He was known to lose huge amounts of his stocks to thieves whenever he engaged in deep conversation with a fellow Altmer.

During the events of the Planemeld, Fenoreth was awed by the sight of Molag Bal's dolmens, and ran off to inspect one that had appeared near Skywatch on one fine morning. There, he requested to be captured, and was taken to Coldharbour in chains. His soul stolen, Fenoreth still managed to escape with an old, bearded man who remains unknown, along with several tea leaves collected from the Daedric realm. Ending up on the shores of Vulkhel's Guard, he eventually ended up helping Queen Ayrenn foil several conspiracies and plots, and became her trusted confidant. At some point, he decided to part ways with her, setting off to the battlegrounds of Cyrodiil to seek his fortune as a common soldier.

With his newly acquired tea leaves from Coldharbour, Fenoreth was inspired to invent a new form of tea that combined several of his secret tea leaves to create an infusion he dubbed "Fen Tea". Sold first to the soldiers amongst his regiment, Fen Tea soon grew in popularity and Fenoreth himself decided to reform his tea business. The Grand Warlord Sorcalin herself gave permission to the Altmer to distribute and market his tea throughout the Dominion's stores, and gave him funding to hire caravan guards.

After a period of time, Fenoreth had managed to amass his own little army of personally-trained caravan guards that he named "the Red Company". After his tea was designated an official beverage for the army under the name "Cyrodilic Field Tea", several soldiers of the Pact ambushed a Red Company convoy near Sejanus Outpost. It eventually grew to a full-scale battle between Dominion troops and Pact soldiers, and resulted in a strategic victory for the Aldmeri Dominion. Having seen the might of Fen's army, Grand Warlord Sorcalin authorized the official formation of the Red Company as a professional military force.
