@wayfarerx Thank you very much for pointing this out so explicitly that I could simply quote. Here is how a player who was OK with the upcoming RNG boxes changed his/her mind:

"Today I was chatting in this thread (now closed), defending the idea of lockboxes because I thought my comment above was still accurate. Then @MissBizz linked me this video where, at 8:30, Matt says that there will be exclusive mounts in the lockboxes.

So consider me fully on the lockbox-hate train. Gambling for exclusive stuff is bad, it makes me want to play this game less and detracts from the respect that I have for the developers."

I think people are making too big of deal about something that we don't know the full details about. Can we wait till we get the official article about these boxes before we make anymore threads about these RNG boxes that are supposedly the end of the world?

RNG Boxes on the crown store makes the game feel dirty.. lol.

Exclusives in these rng boxes that you have to hope to land with your real money? Nah.. that's gross.

Some people who are agree to Lockboxes don't know the detail. They assume it's cosmetics only and one of way to obtain cosmetics which were expired in the past. I myself I didn't know about this super special rare mount which only available through lockboxes till someone pointed the vid to me.

I actually hope that they have something so unique in the box that I can instantly identify them in-game.

Then I'll point, and dance, and laugh...

I'm not against the boxes - I just won't buy one. I have enough self control to survive this situation that everyone thinks is the apocalypse.

So all the outcry surely has to do with the "super" mounts that will only be available through these. I fail to see how these would be game breaking in anyway. I don't buy mounts in the crown store at all anyway so this wouldn't ever affect me.

A "super special rare mount" is still cosmetic. I'm not sure what the problem is.

I mean, I likely won't buy them unless I'm bored, but if other people want to, why not? I mean, those mounts cost 3000 crowns to buy outright, didn't they?
