And im not using a slang version of the body part, that might be considered to be offensive by some. Its calling it exactly as its called. Its almost like ZOS is shy about their own body parts!

I wanted to make a khajiit with "the Lustrous" in her name, something similar to Adhazabi Aba-daro the Golden who shows up in Cyrodiil on the weekends. Guess what, it got censored

Took me some time to figure out it was because of the "lust" in "lustrous" ...

So a quest with 'murder a random innocent person' is fine but if I make a character Bob the Assassin it might get censored because theres 'ass' in the name?

Why would you even want a body part to be your character's name anyway?

The other night I had said,"I was the leader of a group and dungeon finder bugged out." And some of it was filtered with ********** Read over a few times and then realized the filter thought I was saying a slur hidden in "of a group" I remember the Uniracers game for Super Nintendo, if you put in bad words, or certain words like "sega" or "sonic" you would get an error that the name was not cool enough.

People see age ratings and think any name should be allowed, completely forgetting about the TOS. I imagine it's part of that, though I'm not gonna go searching for it.

Keep seeing examples of that in guild chat. Funny thing is when others type swears they come through fine, but typing it myself comes out censored.

This is coming from a company and a market that shows ultra-violence in all its detail but flips their *** over some skin

My main is called Billy Bastid. I was going to change his name to Billy [snip] or Billy the [snip] which is what I intended him to be called originally.

EDIT: had to change the format buy you can see the name at least now.

Its not even showing skin, its just a body part. Not even in a slang form. You cant spell it in another way.

I find it wierd too that gore is ok, but body parts isnt.

Do you have your profanity filter on? That's usually why things come out censored when you type them

Censoring any word containing 'lust' is beyond ridiculous. Lust isn't even a vulgar word!

Should we also censor the names of in-game characters? And what about the names of a type of Meridia-aligned Daedra we haven't yet had the opportunity to see, the Lustrants? And can we think one second about the most famous Argonian maid? How is she described again?

Actually, [snip] is also used in-game. See the glorious way Meridia is described in 'The Lightless Oubliette', my second link hereabove.
