I think its time to follow Square Enex and shut this game down for a while to fix it

Final Fantasy 14 was just as a mess as ESO is right now and they did the right thing and shut it down for a year and re-released it as a Realm Reborn. This was a brilliant Idea bc the game was much better off for it. I would hate to say it but after experiencing the lag I had to today in ESO I may just give this game a break and Pick Realm back up again. I just dont see this game being fixed anytime soon and it really disappoints me bc I really do love it when its running properly. Im sure people are going to say good riddance and all but those that play a broken game and buy their crap every DLC are only enabling ZOS to keep from fixing it, I am no longer willing to be that guy.

That's not going to happen. This game is in 'extract as much money from people as possible before it dies' mode right now. All this content that has come out has been developed years ago which is why each patch gets smaller and smaller. Soon the timing will go from 3 months to 6 months and then longer. They are working on a skeleton crew and have been since the console launch.
I'm kind of a small deal!

I've seen MMOs that were dying . I didn't have to compete for resources . No loading screen wait times . Cheap prices all over the market . This game is no where near there . In fact , the population seems to be exceptionally ok with playing through broken bugs and mechanics , which is a huge indicator of its potential survivability in the long run .

If the forums were any type of crystal ball into the game , we'd see nothing but ruins , ghost towns and tumble weeds blowing . The forums seem to have little bearing on the actual game population .

Or follow CCP Games, keep the game running and dedicate a single major release to nothing but bug fixes and change your entire development proccess/team structure to fix the problems you have recognised.

    WTB Jon Lander for ESO.

If FFXIV had the PVP ESO has, I would go back to playing it. Until then, nope.

FF was in such bad shape that few people were actually playing. Not only that but the culture of Japan came to view the game as a blight to the FF brand and good for them for choosing to rebuild the game over shutting it down ( that option was on the table as well ).

ESO is in nowhere near the bad shape FF was in before its relaunch.

The only thing I would want is for them go " Surprise!! We moved the game to UE4! ". While I think ESO is one of the better looking MMOs out I feel it doesnt havent that much room to improve further ( armor textures / depth for example ).

Ha ha.. couldn't get much into any of the Final Fantasy series, but DX:HR is still one of my top fav games of all time. Despise some frustrating and annoying instances with ESO, overall, it has been a very good experience for me, and I would consider it to have been an amazingly well-developed and put together game. However, I must apologize to ZOS, Zenimax and Bethesda in advance, because when DX: Mankind Divided finally comes out, you will lose me for a while. If any consolation, you still have me, even though Assassin's Creed: Syndicate has been out for a while now. Lol!
