I have treasure hunter, havent seen but 1 purple piece in a month. Treasure hunter only worked for me for about the first 2 weeks then it reverted back to the normal white/green/blue drops. This seems to be account wide since I have on multiple occasions removed it for a month on all my characters and added it back in on a different character with no noticable sign of change in loot.

The gladiator and night mother sets are fine and all but has no jewlery which severly limits what my gear sets are capable of. I have tried almost every crafted set at one point or another in various setups as a DPS and tank I finally found a setup that seems effective and do not want to switch simply because they made the CP160 Brairheart out of unobtainium.

Not saying it's not a good set, but I'm not a fan of the Briarheart. I get those pieces a lot (also the Triminac pieces) in the treasure chests in Wrothgar and recently found a couple pieces in Hew's Bane treasure chests. I think I find the pieces a lot is because I spend a lot of time in Wrothgar and constantly doing my rounds all around the area for the treasure chests. I just leave em in the chests. If it wasn't BoP, I would probably put them in the guild store or deposit in the guild bank for others to use. That BoP needs to go away. Otherwise, you have destroy or deconstruct it. What waste of good gear and equipment.

I decon all 150 gear... so to me its not a complete loss...

The Wrothgar sets are a waste of time to grind.

One of these days I need to go back to try and finish off my Motif collections, but I can't bring myself to do it because each box is a reminder of how much I hate Zenimax's RNG system. Anything in this game reliant upon RNG is an exercise in futility, and these sets are the worst of the lot.

Im waiting for the SotH to drop before i go back to farming icp for my Scathing. Been farming since IC came out and i still dont have perfect pieces with perfect traits.

Got a nice set of legs today from a solo daily in wrothgar, but didn't really need them... I should add that this is from the first ever daily in wrothgar on this new toon, i cant seem to get anything good on my other toons that have done many dailies. Dont know if it makes a difference or not but...

Curious to know what kind of build are you planning with this set?

I've tried with 5 briarheart / 5 hundings or 5 marksman on Khajiit NB with 80-90% weapon crit and seemed like it wasn't worth all the effort to acquire it. Briarheart procs a bit more frequently if you drop caltrops and spam bombard on a group of players, but for open world it doesn't seem frequent enough for the small weapon damage buff compared to hundings, clever alchemist, ravager or flanking.

Feels like it needs a buff, maybe 500-600 weapon damage instead of current.

Since last 6 months, I was trying to get full v16 but unfortunately never got v16 to oust rings.

I may have opened more than 400 box, I went tired and stop doing wrothgar daily any more.

After DB patch mostly, CP 150 is popping out..which discourages me alot and I stop doing..

I received the last piece I needed from a regular chest in Hew's Bane last week. Bracers at 160 with Devine trait. I had given up on dailys. As it usually drops at 150. I was really luckily with purple 160 jewelry, I have two sets, wish I could sell it

Yeah, the RNG sucks, especially for something like this. At least for VMA, I can wrap my head around running that place a 100 times for the right weapon because it is BIS by a mile.

I managed to get a mix-matched set of briarheart with jewelry pretty fast. The one thing I learned was that it is NOT worth the effort. I dont think this set is BIS for anything. I didnt like it much in PVP, and in PVE there are FAR better options.

Thats true, there are better options, but this set heals when active as well. With each crit.

Pair this with flurry morph "Blood thirst" and you get some serious healing going on. Then throw in Surge if your a sorc....

Its really a fun set for PvE, not so good in PvP .

There isn't much end game on ESO. Stuff this this is introduced to try and keep mindless farming over and over and over keep you coming back. I think that is the real reason why the introduce new junk traits to Maelstrom stuff etc, because when you get geared up, there isn't much to do apart from lag-o-ville which is an exploiters heaven atm ^^

If you did get the CP160 set, would you continue to farm the dailies etc?

The real question is, how many people stopped doing the dailies *because* the RNG was so bad. Me, for one, and I refuse to even think about doing the dailies for TG and DB.

In this case, if i got fully suited in this gear and was doing the dailies for this gear, i would stop doing the dailies. Means less to log on daily for and frankly, once suited in the gear you want, there is little left of the game apart from Cyro and we know how that is these days.

If i wanted this set and it was hard to get from dailies, chances are i would keep doing the dailies until i got it or got bored and moved onto something else or new DLC came out and the sets are surpassed/outdated.

One of these above has way more player retention and the other one lacks it.

For this type of armour I would have to say ABSOLUTELY NOBODY let the free market do its thing. Monster sets on the other hand are different and take commitment to get (unless you simply buy it in cyrodiil now).
