Why do I say this? ESO has gotten some positive publicity lately from multiple sources. They did really well at E3 this year, and any gamer that gets on Facebook is having their feed flooded with how ESO was best MMO of E3.

Additionally, Steam Summer Sale. If you go to the comments section in Steam, the comments are very positive.

Positive enough that between reading those and seeing the positive reviews at E3, I decided to come back to the game after giving up on it a few months after it launched. I see some improvements, though other things seem to have not changed at all. I'm interested in hearing whether you guys think it's worth coming back or not. I did get the subscription (and let me just say crafting bag is awesome, so awesome) so I'm here for a month at least.

But, whether you love the game or hate it, if you notice a sudden upturn in population, especially newbies, Steam and E3 together may be responsible.

Side note, looking for a small friendly guild, preferably Daggerfall, but Dominion works too (especially since the CP system seems to encourage alts rather than discourage them, that alt discouragement being one of the major reasons I left the first time).

If you are coming back because you were bored and wanted new content, then yes it is worth it. If you are willing to pay for the new content.

Otherwise to me not much has changed. Outside of the things that have gotten worse.

    1) Sure... Steam... read: PC players
    2) Who pays attention to E3? Please it's usually hollow.

Still - it would be nice. Everything is kind of deserted below level 50 at the moment.

Servers where so overloaded the first few DB games you could barely load in places.

The removal of the vet system seemed to draw back a ton of old players!

One or 2 decent commercials that don't turn our game into a joke and eso is set to take off!

Like I hinted at in the original post, Veteran levels are a HUGE part of the reason I left to begin with. I'm not thrilled with CP, because it's still just more leveling after you hit max level no matter how you slice it, but at least CP are shared between all your characters and the idea of rerolling doesn't make you cry at the prospect of the post max level grind. (I still think it's too much, though)

Pretty much this. The base game patches we get aren't good enough to maintain the game's longevity. They really need to fix PvP as well.
