It's a sad state of affairs when that's what surprises you, but I am forced to agree.I am super surprised that they haven't gone full crazy-mode and just deleted/moderated the hell out of every thread posted on the subject.
Not sure if they are formulating an official response, ignoring it hoping it will go away, or too damn ashamed to say anything themselves.
Though I believe the thread Alan posted that in no longer exists....ZOS_AlanG wrote:With topics like this, it is very important to us that they remain open so people can discuss.
It's going to get locked, we need to cool off and wait for them to unlock mine or make their own. though they said more likely that they will make their own.HoloYoitsu wrote: »As an aside, I would like to request that people please limit the discussion in this thread to the topic of "an officially sanctioned discussion thread re: the hacking issue being needed", I would prefer to not wake up tomorrow and find this thread deleted.
The front page is littered with plenty of threads to voice concerns over other aspects of this issue.

That was from the closing of the ONLY sanctioned discussion thread for the hacking issue. You read that right, ZOS is officially banning any discussion of the hacking issue until they deem it has "cooled down", under threat of unconditional locking.ZOS_AlanG wrote:But given the problems at the moment, we feel a break is in order. We are closing this thread to give the topic a chance to cool down. If related threads are made or bumped, they will be directed here and locked as well.

That is simply unacceptable.
Would the community accept it if ZOS stated any discussion of a certain bug would be locked? Discussion of a balance issue? Discussion of any other game issue? No, absolutely not. And this issue is more important than any of those.

They should allow it to be discussed. Yes, people are super mad, FOR A GOOD REASON. All locking it all down did was allow it to blow up even more. I don't know WHY they have to be told this lol. Seriously, who is making these decisions lol
Ahem. Let me advise you that closing it down did not work as intended. And we have no ETA on when there will be a fix for that.
IGN won't run a negative article on ESO. It would hurt their good standing with Zenimax/Bethesda too much. I have already reached out to a few sites which are more independent or smaller scale to ask if they would be interested in running a story.SwaminoNowlino wrote: »

The problem here is that by officially banning any discussion of it, all ZOS achieves is dousing the rage fires in rocket fuel and causing the forums to blow up in more "unconstructiveness" than ever before.
It's just really a completely puzzling PR move.
I'm more so disappointed in how it was handled. Leaderboard reset should have been instant with the release of dark brotherhood, now all the new players see all that kinda stuff, I just think it's bad timing, and it's still not being reset for another 2 weeks.Do my eyes deceive me, or did I just read that @Nifty2g said that he too has turned on ZOS? Oh my... Oh my, oh my... This certainly is a turn of events, and critical/major plot-twist. I mean... He isn't lying after all. I do recall him saying that this would happen, if you (ZOS) went about handling things this way... And it seems things have come to the surface as such. . .
ZOS... You've gone and made a colossal mess now. When someone like Nifty2g has even grown tired of your shenanigans, you know you've done goofed. And that's no disrespect to Nifty either. I say that, because they're a person who've I have never seen speak so outwardly against ZOS. Let alone appear this irritated. Granted I've never played with them, or know too much about them personally... But, I do know that they're a rather "important" figure on these forums and Tamriel Foundry. Plus they have a moderately popular YouTube channel. So yes, you've (ZOS) really screwed-up royally.
Nonetheless! Things are certainly going to get even more so interesting on the forums. I'm curious how the threads will be, from now until Sunday. Lol. The weekend is approaching, and fast. And that's usually when people get things off their chest, and post how they truly feel.
