Because you don't have an increase to ability costs coupled with shuffle, dodge roll, CC break, a litany of DPS moves and weapons, spammable attacks, self heals, HoTs, DoTs, range, gap closer... etc
You don't need a ward ontop of the all stuff you already exceed at.

They've still got a lot of work to do. Light Armor wearers should have a shield, and a good one, but it should come at a much higher magicka cost.
They just keep swinging out of balance in one direction (stamina) or the other (magicka) because they refuse to make health a meaningful attribute investment.
