and yes, "how is your sustain, ur a tank u cant kill me" well here are numbers: 1,4k mag reg, 5,2k health reg, 2k stam regen, 2,2k weapon damage, 30k health, 20k stamina. with only 93 CP's lmao
I'm with you, OP. I despise the PvP in most every MMO I play, ESO included. The first time I decided to try going into Cyrodiil, I was level 30-something, and I very quickly learned I was leagues out of my depth and hopelessly useless. So I just as quickly left, and never went back.
I'm a Veteran 10 now. And I decided to go back in thinking I could hold my own in case an errant player tries to assert their dominance.
I join a campaign, I get into Cyrodiil, and I decide to start off picking up an old quest I had started way back on my first foray in. Time to travel to Bruma! So I mount my Lioness, hop the wall and start the very, VERY long trek half way across the map to Bruma. When I finally get there, a Dark Anchor is active, and Dremora are everywhere. The paranoid bugger I am, I go hidden and sneak my way into town. Of course I fail miserably as a Dremora here and a Skeleton there spot me and I have to put them down.
Then I see it. It's a glimpse. A yellow icon over a moving figure.
I damn near sh*t my pants. And then as I near the anchor it gets worse. Blue icons. A couple of Vet16 DC players are doing the anchor. Now don't misunderstand, this is at 4AM Pacific time. I had believed I wouldn't see a single person. But here I was hiding from two DC veterans, who then find and murder the lone AD player I saw earlier.
Finally I found my chance to get to the quest marker, thinking they've gone. I go into this building, find the NPC, do a thing here and there. And when I go back to turn in the quest, there's an AD player standing right there where I was going. He sees me. I freak out. I try to use the Surrender emote. He annihilates me in seconds.
And then I have to respawn. ALL. THE WAY. AT THE BEGINNING. Oh, but that's not the end. I decide to try it again. I hop on my mount, go to the wall, and RIGHT when I hop over it, standing RIGHT there just outside the wall is a Vet16 AD player. I'm annihilated in seconds. He then begins to farm me as I try to leave, and it takes another level capped Pact player to get rid of him. So now I'm finally back on the road to Bruma so I can continue this stupid quest. But when I go through the Chim gate just GUESS who comes out of nowhere. Same person. He came back. Annihilated me in seconds.
I have to guess it took me a half hour to get back to Bruma and turn in the quest, only to be given another quest. And when I'm about to leave the building the questgiver was in, in trots another Dominion player. I frantically give the Surrender emote to tell him I don't want to fight. He doesn't care. I give out a couple attacks. I'm annihilated in seconds.
This is why I stick to the PvE zones. This is why PVP multiplayer gives me anger induced seizures.
I gave you the Surrender emote The Red Fury or whatever your name is!

Well its sick when people go out of their way to kill in questing zones. Sadly the mentality everyone has here "is its a pvp zone expect for the opposing faction to farm your questing zone when you clearly are not fighting back."
Too many rouge styles of gameplay not enough warrior type of gameplay.
I think these very people are the reason we have not achieved balance in the game, they defend whats broken... and encourage this gameplay cause when lets say you did learn to pvp... you'll quickly find out when they cant kill you they'll run away, and stalk you till they can kill you. The very same people that will whisper you into a 1v1 match after a failed gank attempt, thats the pvp of cyrodil

*rant & illustration ahead*I feel so, so much less alone right now. holy ***. I am NOT the best player and, if you've had the displeasure of being grouped with me in PvE, you would see it very clearly that I kind of don't know what I'm doing (but I'm learning!). so I went to Cyrodiil back when I first got the game in the summer of 2014. I remember having zero concept of how any of that worked and was quite frankly overwhelmed--but not for long. I trotted aimlessly for maybe two whole minutes and I get the tiniest, TINIEST glimpse of another player in front of me before I'm snuffed out like a candle. okay, fine. they're much more experienced and are less of a spaz than I am. not a difficult thing to accomplish, and I'm not offended! ...but I did something similar to you.
Veteran 16, just decided to poke around seriously last week. travel ages on my guar, hoping that I'm basically one of maybe 2 or 3 other players there in totality.I felt some sense of relief when I was able to get from point A, to point B, to point C and seemingly progressing there in Cyrodiil. I would spot another player only on occasion (it sent a cold chill up my spine every time because damn, I was almost to my destination and wouldn't that have sucked to be mauled
) and one time, someone even passed by and let me live! THEY LET. ME LIVE. haha, little did I know that'd be the only time.
it's one thing to see them from afar and go & hide, but it's another to be taking every precaution, sneaking slowly and BAM! some elf hiding behind a rock has been in stealth mode waiting for a sucker like me.
am I at fault for not asking for help? probably.
am I at fault for not knowing where and who will help me...? I feel like I'm always bothering someone and I have to be honest, I cannot stand being with the players who you know take it all too seriously and sometimes berate you for your armor, tactics, etc. I'd like someone who 'gets it' to come along and help turn me into a super-capable Cyrodiil champion!
-victorious fist in air-
-panting, looking around with wide-eyed crazy expression and fragile smile-
help.

It's threads like this that make me reconsider even bothering to resub and come back to ESO.
I love the game, don't get me wrong, but I will never be good enough to hold my own against the "professional" PvPers and just doing the same 50 levels over and over and over again is no fun.
Oh well.
Bruma is the worst quest village for running into enemy players, maybe try one of the 4 other villages, and find someone to play with as it helps a lot. Cyro is nasty alone, your best defense if you meet a group is a fast mount!

Cropsford is just as bad with all the farmers in Cracked Wood Cave.

I have to agree here, I come across the most trouble in Cropsford. In Bruma I have taken a delve with a member of my enemy faction many times. Or convince them to yield, or in some cases killed to earn their respect. in Cropsford... it's kill everything in sight.
Next time send him all your gold he will leave to quest in peace if you want quest in cyro you have to pay the toll or learn to fight
