The class changes will give us a bit more survivability (through healing) and a lot more utility (for both group and solo play). Combine that with the CP changes (magic damage being moved to Elemental Expert and Hardy decreasing incoming physical damage) it's going to make Magicka DK viable again. Keep in mind though, its a bit too soon to tell. But yeah, I was generally happy with what I saw on the PTS

Yep. Extra healing won't do much to change how the class performs open world. The CP change is one of the biggest things that will help, but it also helps other magicka builds, so it's kind of a non-factor. And the tanky class is still having all the tanky game mechanics nerfed to hell with no damage to compensate, so it's still going to be just ok in my opinion.
Lack of mobility will keep magicka DK from performing as well open world as sorc and NB.
Might take back the top spot in duels and for group play though. Talons spam incoming.

Just the fact the dk now can pump 1 star and only has 2 source of dmg, magic and fire, both of which are boosted by 1 star will help so much. Last patch that had what? 3 different dmg types?

Bats counts as a dot... interesting. Still not sure with the limited cp though, 100 in elemental expert, then is it better dmg to boost crit dmg or dot dmg? Maybe a split between them?
