Can't make it past the Bethesda loading screen before the game crashes.

Tried repairing the client; that didn't work. After full re-installation, I started the game "run with administrator" press "play" at the patch screen and still cannot get past the Bethesda loading screen. Anyone else having this issue?

I wasn't able to locate similar issues within the forums, have you seen any posts with similar issues?

Not sure if I am having the same exact problem as you. The patch downloaded and I can click play. The game launches but then crashes within 10 seconds. It crashes at the same point every time, when the Bethesda logo is coming on screen. I have tried repairing, running as administrator, and reinstalling to no avail. If there is anything else I can try let me know. Any help is appreciated. I should mention I was playing fine right 10 minutes before servers went down. This problem only occurred after today's patch.

I fixed the problem by following the instructions sent from a auto reply.

    Greetings!

Thank you for contacting The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited team. My sincerest apologies about the crashing issue you’re experiencing. I understand how frustrating dealing with this can be.

Many customers have reported that following these steps resolved their issue:

    1. First, download and install the latest graphics driver (AMD / NVIDIA )
    2. Then, navigate to My Documents\Elder Scrolls Online\live (or liveeu)\ and delete the file labeled “usersettings” or “usersettings.txt”. Doing this will reset your settings and force the game to re-scan your hardware.
    3. Next, add the ESOTU installation folder – C:\Program Files (x86)\ZenimaxOnline\The Elder Scrolls Online – as a folder exception in your third-party antivirus and/or firewall software
    4. Finally, repair the game files by opening your ESOTU launcher, selecting “Game Options”, and then “Repair”.

If the problem persists after following these steps, please attach a Game Consultant to your reply email for our Technical Support specialists. If a Game Consultant is already attached, please respond back to confirm so we may investigate deeper. Instructions on creating and finding the Game Consultant can be found here: https://help.elderscrollsonline.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/6690/track/AvOaFQpSDv8S~bWaGvoe~yIDPcsq7C75Mv_a~zj~PP9T

Just hoping to help... the game currently freezes in fullscreen mode when using windows 10 for me.

The problem seems to go away after restarting. If it does not go away, there is another solution. It does not crash when using windowed fullscreen.

You can manually set this in the usersettings file.

    Documents/Elder Scrolls Online/live/usersettings.cfg

the option is SET FULLSCREEN_v5 "2"

That "2" is the problem, change it to "1"

I hope this was your issue, and that this helped. If you can open the game without it freezing, you can change it in the settings dropdown menu. GL.

*I am sorry for copy pasting this into multiple threads, I am doing it because I legitimately think this may be the problem each person is experiencing.
