How exclusive is exclusive?

Hi,
I'm new to the game, picked it up here on the steam autumn sale, and have been playing for about a week. I've seen some players riding around on some mounts that can no longer be bought in the crown store, looked them up and it says they're exclusive.
My question is then, how does exclusive work? Does it mean they're only sold that one time, for those few days, and then never again, or will they come back to the store during special events (halloween, etc), like legacy skins in league of legends?

There may be a few that are exclusive. The Senche tiger (only the tiger, not the other varients such as leopard) were a final loyalty reward given to players before the transition to buy to play. There was also some loyalty reward pets that were given out during the subscription service we won't see again, and the beta monkey.
ALTHOUGH, things like the frost mare mount, snow bear mount etc. are limited time offers, meaning when they are offered it's only for a limited time, but may come back so others will have a chance to get them. The black-senche panther mount is a good example of this. ✭✭✭✭✭From what I understand they planned to cycle most of the exclusive items from time to time (this would also make good business sense) and is what most MMO companies do with their store items.
As others have said though, there is no hard guarantee on that, so if you want to make sure you never miss out on an item forever, you have to buy when it's there. Yay marketing!@Turelus - EU PC Megaserver

✭✭✭✭✭As MissBizz said the ones sold in the crown store will almost certainly be sold again (in fact the panther has recently come back into the store) but the ones which were given out for special events like the monkey pet you got for beta testing probably won't be available again.

NovaMarx✭✭✭✭✭The only exclusive mount so far has been the Tiger senche, which was a loyalty reward for players who had subbed for 12 months - but they have since removed loyalty rewards. And when it comes to pets, there are certain one that were loyalty rewards and pre-purchase/beta/Imperial Edition exclusives - if memory serves, they are a Dwarven Sphere, Mudcrab, Imgakin (monkey), and Scuttler.
The other mounts you see have just been limited. The leopard and black panther are coming back around Christmas (for a limited time, of course). So they will most probably be bringing back other limited items in the future

Items that have been given to players specifically due to them being part of beta or through being a loyal subscriber should not automatically be put into Crown Store just because console version didn't come out until much later. In every MMO there will always be exclusive/limited items - and some may never return. This means that if you're "late" into the game (for whatever reason) there will be things no longer available to you. Yeah, it may suck to see other people running around with cool stuff. But this game is so customisable (gear-wise), and there are new mounts/pets and other vanity items released all the time. And there will no doubt be versions of the exclusive items in the future (maybe a snow tiger senche, or another kind of dwarven pet?). So just be patient, and save your money/Crowns for something that really speaks to you "Feet are for walking. Hands are for hitting. Or shaking. Or waving. Sometimes for clapping."

✭Last ESO live they stated they brought back the black senche so that the console players would have a chance to own it. Who knows if it will come back after this point.
Exclusive means you'll see the game world full of them anyways0
