Suddenly, yesterday when I wanted to log on to help.elderscrollsonline.com to check status on one of my bug reports I get the message "Authentication Error. UserID and/or password was incorrect.".
I never leave any of my accounts logged on for others to tamper with when I leave computers, so I started to wonder if I just remembered wrong and had used another password there. Naturally I tried to run the password recovery to change it to another password I know I would remember for the site. The recovery was fine with the password, except it would not permit me to use my preferred password. It warned me that I can not re-use a former password. In other words, I had already used the password there before.
I left it at that for now, as the only implication possible was that an unauthorised change of password is done, and I have in my 26 years of Internet use experienced anything like it.
Has my password been changed by ZOS? If so, why?
Can ZOS find anything about it from log files?
Should I change all my ESO related passwords, just to be sure?
