Guild bank items not stacking

Guild bank items are not stacking at all and it doesn't matter whether it is an ex stolen item or regular loot pickup. The other issue is that you cannot restack items after splitting them up using the option menu for that item(s). It is making it near impossible to use the guild bank on a daily basis due to max item slot usage reached. The only workaround to this is taking all the stacks of that one item out of the guild bank and putting them into your personal bank then taking it back out and re depositing it in the guild bank. Only issue with this is if both banks are in heavy use then you don't have the personal bank slots to accommodate working around this issue .... Please fix this.

I was excited to finally get a guild bank with some of my friends, thinking we could easily share materials for our different professions. Come to find out it's a pretty useless tool when nothing stacks and everything is just lumped together under materials. Needless to say no one wants to spends a few hours a night trying to stack and organize the guild bank.

Zos says "it's working as designed", they really need to rethink that design, very poor for consoles. Needs a fix asap.

Yes, this is a horrible oversight. As nearly all crafted items are unique, I fully understand why they would not stack (even the same exact stat items). But MATERIALS need to stack!!!

As far as I am concerned it does not work equivalent to the individual bank so it does not work properly ... As a result it needs to be fixed. I would like to see a a game master involved in this please.

Yes, I agree. So tired of having to sit and reorganize this everyday. Logging different characters on and off to pick up certain materials, because I don't have all the room in my personal bank to restack everything and put back in to guild bank. Really would like to spend more time actually playing the game. They could fix this, and really need it before or at least with new dlc coming out.

Actually it is no "oversight". It's because of an exploit/bug that was never repaired properly.

Back when guild banks would stack just fine... then an exploit with that became rampart and ppl were duping items left and right - the "quick solution" was to disable the auto-stack feature.
And here we are. Still. Over a year later.

Any more details of the exploit? Ppl wee stealing from banks? Still happens today, just fewer items because of the no stacking. If they REALLY wanted to do it correctly with the current limitation, the would show who put the item in and when, when you look at the item. And you could "lock" it, allowing only very high ranks to override the lock.

But if this is "design intent", then the developers are stupid stupid stupid.

Sorry guys, you are X1. PC players get Minion and FatStacks or other add-ons to fix this.

I personally bugged it multiple times in PC Beta and on live. Hasnt been fixed in 20 months, so dont expect a fix soon. Its.. on the board. Probably near the bottom under new golden horses that fire rainbows from their eyes.

Until this gets patched the trick to stacking the stuff is have a very trusted person who's sole guild job is stacking the stuff for you, to do that you gotta take it out, put it in his own bank where it will stack it, then put it back into the guild bank. I've had to do this quite a few times for my guild, its a pain but its the only thing you can do at the moment.

Yup I am aware of the personal bank stacking fix but that honestly really makes the game encombersome.... Not to mention frustrating ... And I thoroughly appreciate all your feedback people

You don't even need to use a personal bank. Just sell it to a merchant and buy it back will fix the stacking as well.
