Severe Glitch Deeming My Character Unplayble

I'll start this post with the actual details of my characters glitch, that way it can grab some attention.

I cant attack, run, mount my horse, or use any abilities. Magicka and Stamina no longer drain and seem to have no limit. I can roll as long as I want to get around without draining a single drop of stamina. I'm unable to switch back to my main hand after I go to my equipped backup weapon.
If I try to attack anything using my weapon or abilities it has no effect to players or npcs. I can shoot arrows out of my bow like a machine gun, and when I do use my abilities they reset 0.1 seconds after activating them only making a sound and showing a 4th of the animation. The animations are only client side while other players can see nothing but me just stand there.

I originally couldn't emote and use the action button (for doors, way-shrines, harvesting) I managed to remove these effects by deleting both my Backup Main hand and Off hand (Duel Wield Swords)
I could originally emote, but there was no effect client-side. On the other hand, players could still see me emote. The only thing is I can move around and the animation stays in effect. So if I chose to use the drums, I can run around playing the drums with the sound and everything.

I forgot to add that if I get snared by an enemy or npc, I will be stuck until I re-log into another instance if I wait a little bit before logging in again. Death and Teleportation does not fix it.


I've been unable to play for days and have been waiting for some actual help from my support tickets. Each time I get my ticket gets updated with a reply it gets marked as solved after the first reply while my problem still exists and is simply ignored. I just get sent to forums to read about known issues, or get redirected to public forums so I can search for any common fixes that might just do the job for them. Well that's not exactly the support I requested in my tickets. Each response was just a crummy copy and paste that they send to everyone else. It wasn't really talking to a live person like described, and you don't get the same person trying to help you on the next reply. All this nonsense on one ticket caused me to keep making multiple because my situation just got ridiculous, but now I'm giving up and making my own forum post so some real effort could be put into my problem.

The most recent response was the first to attempt at actually helping me, but it was a description for a another bug that had no relevance to my own. It was for resetting a quest a bugged out quest by closing the application, going to into save date, and deleting the file that is present in the ESO folder.

This is no where near the support I need. It seems that whatever is wrong with my game play has to do with my character internally. It seems that the glitch is bound to my character. Servers have been down for maintenance so no reset on the server helped. Logging is obviously not the fix since it has been days. Teleporting and dying makes the glitch worse until I re-log into a new instance after the 5 minute wait. I've made a new character as a test to see if it was my actual game and it worked perfectly, no problems at all.

Over all this experience has been terrible. I just got married at the shrine of Mara and we cant even celebrate in game! xD We were a happy Vampire Elf Couple but unfortunately this tragedy had to take place. My friends haven't played since I got "infected' by this so called bug/glitch because they feel bad and they wish to actually play along with me. And the support I received has been nonsense and has been way too long of a wait. Will I receive any compensation for this? I've talked to other players in game, and they say that I'll probably end up receiving some because it seems my problem is severe (from experience) and that it kind of sucks it still hasn't been solved yet.

Oh and sorry for making so many tickets with a possible attitude. I'm just salty and really want to play/enjoy my game again.

    Mate, I feel sorry for you.

    I had two separate issues which forced me to send a ticket, having been unable to find help online - I could not feed as a vampire and, as a separate issue some time back, was unable to log into guild channel to chat - and the responses I received were exactly like what you have experienced: cut & paste response describing how it was their passion to help but in no way whatsoever we're the directly responding/interacting with me regarding my issue/s; the usual 'turn off for 5 mins' response; the 'delete your saved data' response; followed by ZERO RESPONSE, as they had clearly ran out of their stock replies...

    Surely - SURELY - the technical team who are tasked with responding to people must be as frustrated as we are and have to simply shrug their shoulders and - with hands tied due to unfixed data in the game - they are simply forced into the position of sending us these ridiculous work-around which simply DO NOT WORK! How long is it until they tell us to try the 'man fix' and hit our PS4 with an open hand or give it a good kick...?

    OP, I do genuinely feel sorry for you and whilst I do hope you get your matter resolved - as there is amazing fun to be hand in this world, beneath the flatulent coding - but, I feel you will get nothing from tickets to help you!

    May I ask: does this problem occur on another character? Do you have one/made one? If so, then apart from uninstall/reinstall (my version of the man fix) then I think you're screwed: crude but frankly true. If you have tried and it's fine on another character, then maybe wait and hope your other character's issues get sorted OR, it sits their for eternity, handicapped by an ignorant support system.

    I hope it gets sorted. I would hate to be in this position.

    Hey, thanks for replying and no worries about grammar. It's not an essay, we just want to play the game. I believe I stated above that I attempted making a new character to see if the problem still exists. Going through the test made me realize that my glitch must be bound to my main character because there was no interference making a new character.

    I totally agree with you on the support. Its simply ridiculous and one of the replies that bothered me to the point of making this thread was basically a message to me saying that there's not much they are willing to do right now, and that I should wait to see if my problem gets fixed in a future patch for the game. This message wasn't even directed to me, it looks like another copy and paste.

    I agree with B1MBLE, your best chance looks like performing a clean install. Gonna take all day, though.
    Worst case scenario, the problem is server side and you have to wait for ZOS to fix it (which should make you eligible for replacement set of Mara scrolls, ZOS are you reading this?).

    I'll give it a few days and then I'll try. I think they are reading this. They still have yet to update any of the tickets that are unsolved and solved after I immediately replied within the hour of receiving an update. I'll soon be uploading a video with a complaint of service and footage the actual glitch.

    Having the exact problem!

    Im veteran rank 14. Ever since I left cyrodiil 2 days ago my character has been unable to do anything. I cannot confirm if it was that by leaving cyrodiil it caused the problems. These are the problems I currently face:

    - I am unable to use my abilities. They just don't work. I activate an ability and it immediately cancels itself out upon activating. Shadowy Disguise doesn't turn me invisible, Relentless Focus does not make my weapons glow red or give me an aura and using Focused Aim just makes my character aim for half a second but that's it. I also receive no buffs from these abilities when I check my stats.

    - My character is unable to sprint. I press the left stick in and sprint for 1 second and then it stops. This also happens if I am riding a mount. (If I am lucky enough to summon my mount)

    - I cannot summon my mount. I own the Black Senche Panther, Senche Lioness, Frost Mare and the Midnight Steed. But for some reason whenever I press to buttom to summon my mount, a random brown horse wearing no saddle appears for 1 second, my character mounts, the horse disappears and my character is sitting through the floor and returns to standing. Sometimes nothing happens at all whenever I press the button to call my mount.

    - I cannot crouch and enter stealth mode anywhere. That speaks for itself.

    -I cannot stop blocking once I press the left trigger. My character can run whilst blocking. The only way to stop blocking is by sheathing my weapons.

    I have tried every possible thing I could think of to solve the issue, such as:

    -Logging in and out
    -Quitting the game and restarting the game
    -Hard reset on my console
    -Cleared system cache
    -Uninstalling and Reinstalling the game and update.
    -Travelling in and out of Cyrodiil
    -Allowing my charcter to be killed by NPC's and players in PvP
    -Going offline and online
    -Checked forums
    -Resetting router

    One person on the forums described a less severe version of my problem, the person explained that after leaving cyrodiil he couldn't use abilities, sprint, crouch and mount. He said his problem was solved by travelling in and out of cyrodiil. This was on the PC version back in 2014. I tried this method and it failed to work.

    I reset my skill points, and before spending them, I was able to sprint, crouch, mount my Senche Panther and block successfully. Everything was fine, until I reallocated my skill points and I was back with my problem. I wasted 10000 gold for nothing.

    I went online to check if my character had improved the next day, (It hadn't) I took my armour off and discovered that I was human, even though I am a vampire, I have the vampire skill line and have maxed it out. My character was not pale or red eyed. I cured my vampirism to see if that was the root of the problems, and for a few seconds everything was fine, but 10 seconds later, my problems came back.

    Other players have witnessed these problems and I have recorded clips on my xbox one of these problems as proof. This is absolutely ruining my experience in the game because I cannot help my guild mates with dungeons etc. I have reported this to customer service in game, I have been updating my problem with other issues that arise. This is a serious bug and I don't know what has caused it. I don't want to receive automated responses via email, I would love to speak with someone about this because I am getting no where with my issue.

    Please help shed some light on this situation for me guys. My game is unplayable! Thankyou
